Model: TW2R29100

1. Introduction

This instruction manual provides comprehensive guidance for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Timex Southview 41mm Multifunction Watch. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your timepiece.

2. Product Features

  • Adjustable tan 20mm genuine leather strap, designed to fit wrist circumferences up to 8 inches.
  • Blue dial featuring partial Roman numerals for a classic aesthetic.
  • Silver-tone 41mm brass case equipped with a durable mineral glass crystal.
  • Multifunction subdials accurately display the day of the week, current date, and 24-hour time.
  • Water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet), suitable for splashes or brief immersion in water. Not recommended for swimming or bathing.

3. Setup and Time Setting

To set your Timex Southview Multifunction Watch, follow these steps:

  1. Setting the Time:
    • Pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch) out to its outermost position.
    • Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
    • Push the crown back in to its original position to start the watch.
  2. Setting the Day of the Week:
    • Locate the pusher button on the side of the watch, typically near the 8 o'clock position.
    • Press this pusher repeatedly until the day of the week subdial (usually at the 9 o'clock position) indicates the correct day.
  3. Setting the Date:
    • Locate the pusher button on the side of the watch, typically near the 4 o'clock position.
    • Press this pusher repeatedly until the date subdial (usually at the 3 o'clock position) indicates the correct date.
  4. Setting the 24-Hour Time:
    • The 24-hour subdial (usually at the 6 o'clock position) is synchronized with the main time display. It cannot be set independently. Ensure the main time is set correctly for accurate 24-hour display.

Important Note: Avoid setting the date or day of the week between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. If adjustment is needed during this period, first set the main time outside this window, adjust the date/day, then reset the main time.

4. Operating the Watch

Your Timex Southview watch is designed for straightforward operation:

  • The main hour and minute hands display the current time.
  • The subdial at the 9 o'clock position indicates the Day of the Week (e.g., MON, TUE, WED).
  • The subdial at the 3 o'clock position indicates the Date (1-31).
  • The subdial at the 6 o'clock position indicates the 24-Hour Time, mirroring the main time in a 24-hour format.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). This rating means the watch is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not designed for swimming, showering, or diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.

5.2 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by one Lithium Metal battery (included). When the watch stops running, the battery will need to be replaced. It is recommended to have battery replacement performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

5.3 Strap Care

The genuine leather strap should be kept dry and clean. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, and harsh chemicals, which can cause the leather to degrade or discolor. Clean with a soft, damp cloth if necessary.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.
  • Incorrect Time/Date: Refer to Section 3 for detailed instructions on setting the time, day, and date. Ensure adjustments are not made between 9 PM and 3 AM for date/day.
  • Condensation Under Crystal: If condensation appears under the watch crystal, it may indicate a loss of water resistance. Seek professional service immediately to prevent damage to the movement.
