1. Safety Instructions
Read all instructions carefully before operating the machine. Failure to follow safety guidelines may result in injury or damage to the equipment.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and gloves.
- Ensure the machine is securely mounted or placed on a stable, level surface before use.
- Keep hands and fingers clear of moving parts, especially the shear blade and bending dies, during operation.
- Do not exceed the machine's specified material capacities.
- Keep the work area clean and well-lit.
- Do not operate the machine if any parts are damaged or missing.
- Keep children and unauthorized personnel away from the machine.
2. Product Overview

4. Setup
- Unpacking and Inspection: Carefully remove the machine from its packaging. Inspect all components for any signs of damage during transit. Report any damage to the supplier immediately.
- Placement: Place the shear brake on a sturdy, level workbench or table capable of supporting its weight (16 KGS). Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for safe operation and material handling.
- Component Assembly (if required): The main handle may need to be attached. Secure it firmly using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts and fasteners are tightened before use.

5. Operation
5.1 Shearing Operation
- Prepare Material: Ensure the material to be cut is clean, flat, and within the specified thickness capacity.
- Position Material: Lift the shear handle. Carefully slide the material under the shear blade, aligning the desired cut line with the blade's edge.
- Execute Cut: Firmly and smoothly pull down the shear handle to cut the material. Ensure your hands are clear of the blade path.
- Remove Material: Lift the handle and remove the cut material.

5.2 Bending Operation
- Prepare Material: Ensure the material is clean, flat, and within the specified thickness capacity.
- Adjust Bending Dies: Depending on the desired bend angle and material thickness, adjust the bending dies. Refer to the machine's markings or trial and error for optimal settings.
- Position Material: Place the material between the bending dies, aligning the bend line with the edge of the upper die.
- Execute Bend: Apply steady, even pressure to the bending handle to form the desired angle. Release the handle once the bend is complete.
- Remove Material: Carefully remove the bent material.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the machine to remove any metal shavings or debris. Use a brush or compressed air. Do not use harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a light machine oil to all pivot points and moving parts to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
- Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect the shear blade and bending dies for wear, nicks, or damage. Dull blades can lead to poor cuts and require more force. Replace worn components as necessary.
- Storage: Store the machine in a dry, clean environment to prevent corrosion.
7. Troubleshooting
- Uneven Cuts or Rough Edges:
Possible Cause: Dull shear blade, incorrect material positioning, or material exceeding capacity.
Solution: Inspect and sharpen/replace blade. Ensure material is properly aligned. Verify material thickness is within specifications. - Difficulty Bending Material:
Possible Cause: Material too thick, incorrect die adjustment, or insufficient force.
Solution: Check material thickness against capacity. Adjust bending dies. Apply more consistent force. - Machine Not Stable:
Possible Cause: Not placed on a level surface, or mounting bolts are loose.
Solution: Relocate to a stable, level surface. Tighten all mounting bolts. - Squeaking or Sticking Parts:
Possible Cause: Lack of lubrication or accumulation of debris.
Solution: Clean the machine thoroughly and apply lubricant to all moving parts.
