2. Product Overview

The AGPTEK U3 is a compact USB stick MP3 player designed for portable audio playback, FM radio, and voice recording. It features a direct USB connection for file transfer and operates on a replaceable AAA battery.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Slide the cover off to open the compartment.
  3. Insert one AAA battery (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+ and - terminals).
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Note: The replaceable battery should be removed from the device before connecting to a computer for file transfer.

3.2 Connecting to a Computer (Data Transfer)

The AGPTEK U3 features a direct USB connector, eliminating the need for a separate cable to transfer files.

  1. Ensure the AAA battery is removed from the device.
  2. Remove the USB cap from the player.
  3. Plug the player directly into an available USB 2.0 port on your computer.
  4. The computer will recognize the player as a removable disk.
  5. Drag and drop your desired MP3 or WAV audio files into the player's storage.
  6. Once file transfer is complete, safely eject the device from your computer before unplugging it.

Note: The player does not support charging via USB. It operates solely on AAA batteries.

3.3 Memory Expansion (MicroSD Card)

The AGPTEK U3 supports memory expansion up to 128GB using a microSD card (not included).

  1. Locate the microSD card slot on the side of the player.
  2. Insert the microSD card into the slot until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (▶▶) until the screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Play/Pause button (▶▶) until the screen turns off.

4.2 Music Playback

The player supports MP3 and WAV audio formats.

  1. Navigate to the 'Music' menu option using the navigation buttons.
  2. Select a song or folder to begin playback.
  3. Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button (▶▶).
  4. Next/Previous Track: Press the Forward (▶▶) or Backward (◀◀) buttons.
  5. Volume Adjustment: Use the Volume Up/Down buttons (often integrated with navigation, refer to device layout).
  6. Play Modes: The player supports various play modes including Normal, Shuffle (random), and Repeat (Repeat All, Repeat 1). Access these options through the 'M' (Menu) button during playback.
  7. Equalizer: Select from 6 equalizer presets (e.g., Natural, Rock, Pop, Classic, Soft, Jazz, DBB) via the 'M' button during playback.

4.3 FM Radio

  1. Navigate to the 'FM Radio' menu option.
  2. Ensure headphones are connected, as they act as the antenna.
  3. Use the navigation buttons to scan for stations or manually tune to a frequency.
  4. The FM radio supports frequencies: 76-90MHz (Japan Region) and 87.5-108MHz (Other Regions).

4.4 Voice Recorder

  1. Navigate to the 'Recorder' or 'Voice Record' menu option.
  2. Press the Play/Pause button (▶▶) to start recording.
  3. Press the Play/Pause button (▶▶) again to pause/stop recording.
  4. Recordings are typically saved in WAV format.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning
