Setup
1. Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Place the machine on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate space around the machine for ventilation and access to the water tank.
2. Water Tank Installation
The VertuoPlus Deluxe features an extra-large 60 oz. water reservoir with an adjustable placement. You can position the water tank at the back or either side of the machine to best fit your countertop space.

3. Initial Rinse
Before first use, perform an initial rinse cycle. Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water. Place a container under the coffee outlet. Close the machine head and press the brew button to run a cycle without a capsule. Repeat this process a few times to ensure the system is clean.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On
Ensure the machine is plugged into a 120 Volt power outlet. Press the brew button to turn on the machine. The light will blink as it heats up (approximately 15-20 seconds) and become steady when ready.
2. Insert Capsule
The machine features an automatic machine head open/close function. Gently push the lever to open the machine head. Insert a Nespresso Vertuo capsule into the capsule holder. The machine will automatically close the head once the capsule is correctly placed.

3. Brew Coffee or Espresso
Place your desired cup under the coffee outlet. The machine's patented Centrifusion extraction technology reads the barcode on the capsule to automatically set the optimal brewing parameters (coffee size, temperature, pressure, and brewing time).

Press the brew button once. The machine will begin brewing. It brews four cup sizes: 1.35 oz Espresso, 2.7 oz Double Espresso, 5.0 oz Gran Lungo, and 7.7 oz Coffee.

4. Automatic Shutoff
The machine features an energy-saving automatic shutoff after 9 minutes of inactivity.

1. Emptying the Used Capsule Container
After brewing, the machine automatically ejects the used capsule into an internal container, which holds up to 17 used capsules. Regularly empty this container to prevent blockages and ensure proper machine function.

2. Cleaning the Water Tank and Drip Tray
The water tank and drip tray are removable for easy cleaning. Wash them with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. The machine is not dishwasher safe.
