3. Setup

3.1. Battery Charging and Installation

1. Connect the removable quick charger to a standard AC 230V 50Hz power outlet.
2. Insert the Lithium-ion battery into the charger. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 45 minutes.
3. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
4. Align the charged battery with the battery compartment at the base of the stapler and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.

3.2. Loading Staples

The stapler uses A-series fasteners with specific dimensions. Ensure you are using the correct staples for optimal performance and safety.

4.1. Adjusting Staple Depth

The DSA-3522-E allows for quick adjustment of staple penetration depth to accommodate different carton thicknesses and desired staple lengths (19mm or 22mm).

1. Locate the depth adjustment mechanism on the tool.
2. Rotate or slide the adjuster to select the desired staple length (19mm or 22mm). Test on a scrap piece of material to ensure proper depth before final application.

4.2. Stapling a Carton

1. Ensure the battery is installed and staples are loaded.
2. Hold the stapler firmly with both hands, utilizing the overmolded main handle and the secondary safety handle for stability and control.
3. Position the smooth plate of the stapler flat against the carton surface where the staple is to be driven.
4. Apply firm, even pressure to the tool against the carton.
5. Depress the trigger to drive a staple. Release the trigger after each staple.
6. Move to the next desired stapling location and repeat the process.
