Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the machine and all components from the packaging. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface away from water sources and heat.
  2. Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Rinse it thoroughly with fresh drinking water before filling. Fill the tank with fresh drinking water up to the 'MAX' level.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Initial Rinse: Press either the Espresso or Lungo button to turn on the machine. The buttons will flash while heating up (approx. 25 seconds). Operating Instructions

Making Coffee

  1. Power On: Ensure the machine is plugged in and the water tank is filled. Press either the Espresso or Lungo button to turn on the machine. Wait for the buttons to stop flashing, indicating the machine is ready.
  2. Insert Capsule: Lift the lever completely. Insert a Nespresso Original capsule into the capsule insertion slot. Close the lever firmly.
  3. Place Cup: Adjust the foldable drip tray to accommodate your cup size. Place your cup under the coffee outlet.
  4. Select Brew Size: Press the Espresso button for a 40 mL shot or the Lungo button for a 110 mL shot. The machine will automatically stop when the selected volume is dispensed.

Using the Milk Frother (if included)

The Nespresso CitiZ machine may come bundled with a milk frother (Aeroccino). Refer to the separate Aeroccino instruction manual for detailed operation. Maintenance
