Operating Instructions
The Acoustic Singer Live features two independent channels for guitar and vocals, each with dedicated controls and effects.
Guitar Channel Controls
- PAD: Reduces the input level for high-output pickups.
- ACOUSTIC RESONANCE: BOSS's proprietary technology that restores the natural, resonant tone of your acoustic guitar, often lost with piezo pickups.
- VOLUME: Adjusts the overall volume of the guitar channel.
- BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE: 3-band EQ for precise tone shaping.
- ANTI-FEEDBACK (NOTCH/PHASE): Helps eliminate feedback. The NOTCH control targets specific frequencies, while PHASE inverts the phase of the input signal.
- CHORUS (TYPE1/TYPE2): Adds depth and richness to your guitar sound. Select between two distinct chorus types.
- REVERB: Adds spaciousness and ambience to the guitar signal.
Mic Channel Controls
- PAD: Reduces the input level for high-output microphones.
- PHANTOM: Provides +48V phantom power for condenser microphones.
- VOLUME: Adjusts the overall volume of the microphone channel.
- BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE: 3-band EQ for vocal tone shaping.
- ANTI-FEEDBACK (NOTCH/PHASE): Similar to the guitar channel, helps control vocal feedback.
- DELAY/ECHO: Adds a repeating echo effect to your vocals.
- REVERB: Adds spaciousness and ambience to the vocal signal.
Harmony Function
The Harmony function automatically creates smooth and accurate vocal harmonies based on the real-time key/chord analysis of your guitar input. This feature is particularly useful for solo performers.
- ON/OFF: Activates or deactivates the harmony effect.
- TYPE: Selects the harmony type (e.g., HIGH, UNISON, LOW) to add different vocal layers.
- LEVEL: Adjusts the volume of the generated harmony voices.
Looper
The built-in looper allows you to record and layer guitar and vocal phrases, creating full backing tracks on the fly.
- REC/PLAY/OVERDUB: Controls the recording, playback, and overdubbing of loops.
- STOP/CLEAR: Stops playback and clears the current loop.
Master Controls
- MASTER: Controls the overall output volume of the amplifier.
- TWEETER ATT: Attenuates the tweeter output, useful for adjusting the high-frequency response.
- MUTE: Mutes the entire output of the amplifier.
