Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the string lights.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 3 'D' batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Securely close the battery compartment cover to ensure weather resistance.
2. Placement
- Uncoil the light string carefully to prevent tangling. The total length is 15.16 feet, with 14.5 feet of lighted section and an 8-inch lead wire.
- Position the lights in your desired indoor or outdoor location. Ensure the battery compartment is placed in a location protected from direct heavy rain or standing water, despite its weather-resistant design.
- Use appropriate clips or fasteners (not included) to secure the lights if hanging.
Operation
Power On/Off and Function Selection
The lights are controlled via a switch on the battery compartment. This switch allows you to cycle through the various lighting functions, including turning the unit off and activating the timer.

Lighting Functions
Your Holiday Living lights offer 7 distinct lighting functions:
- Off: Lights are turned off.
- Steady On: Lights remain continuously illuminated.
- Steady On with Timer: Lights remain continuously illuminated and activate the built-in timer (6 hours on, 18 hours off).
- Twinkle: Lights flash on and off in a twinkling pattern.
- Twinkle with Timer: Lights flash in a twinkling pattern and activate the built-in timer (6 hours on, 18 hours off).
- Glisten: Lights slowly fade in and out.
- Glisten with Timer: Lights slowly fade in and out and activate the built-in timer (6 hours on, 18 hours off).
To activate the timer, select any function that includes "with Timer." The lights will stay on for 6 hours, then turn off for 18 hours, and repeat the cycle automatically.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the lights and battery compartment with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: When the lights dim or stop working, replace all 3 'D' batteries with new ones. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.
- Storage: When not in use, store the lights in a cool, dry place. Remove batteries before storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
