2. Safety Guidelines
Operating a remote-controlled aircraft requires caution and adherence to safety protocols. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in injury or damage to property.
- Always operate in open areas: Ensure sufficient space away from people, buildings, and obstacles.
- Check local regulations: Be aware of and comply with all local laws and regulations regarding RC aircraft operation.
- Pre-flight inspection: Before each flight, thoroughly inspect the aircraft for any damage, loose connections, or malfunctions.
- Battery safety: Use only recommended batteries and chargers. Follow proper charging and storage procedures to prevent fire hazards.
- Propeller safety: Keep hands and loose clothing away from the propeller when the battery is connected. The propeller can cause severe injury.
- Weather conditions: Do not fly in strong winds, rain, or other adverse weather conditions.
- Maintain visual line of sight: Always keep the aircraft within your direct line of sight.
3. Package Contents
The Fms P-47 Razorback 1500mm PNP (Plug and Play) package includes the following components:
- Fms P-47 Razorback 1500mm RC Airplane (pre-installed ESC, motor, servos)
- Product Manual
Note: Transmitter, receiver, flight battery, and charger are NOT included in the PNP version and must be purchased separately.
4. Assembly
The Fms P-47 Razorback is designed for easy assembly. Follow these steps to prepare your aircraft for flight.
4.1 Wing Installation
The main wings feature a user-friendly wing-body interface. Simply insert the wing port into the fuselage half and secure with four screws.

4.2 Landing Gear
The aircraft features newly CNC-machined shock-absorbing front landing gear for durability. Ensure all landing gear components are securely attached and function smoothly.
4.3 Control Surfaces
Verify that all control surfaces (ailerons, elevator, rudder, flaps) move freely and are correctly linked to their respective servos. The new ball-link design contributes to precise flight control.
5. Initial Setup
After assembly, perform the following initial setup steps:
- Receiver Installation: Install your compatible RC receiver in the designated compartment within the fuselage.
- Battery Connection: Connect your flight battery (recommended 6S LiPo) to the Predator 80A ESC. Ensure the battery is fully charged and secured to prevent shifting during flight.
- Radio Binding: Bind your transmitter to the receiver according to your radio system's instructions.
- Control Surface Check: With the transmitter and receiver powered on, verify that all control surfaces respond correctly to transmitter inputs. Ensure proper direction and throw.
- Center of Gravity (CG): Confirm the aircraft's center of gravity is within the recommended range specified in the full product manual. Adjust battery position if necessary.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Pre-Flight Checks
- Ensure all connections are secure.
- Verify battery is fully charged in both aircraft and transmitter.
- Check control surface movement and direction.
- Confirm propeller is securely attached and undamaged.
- Check for any physical damage to the airframe.
6.2 Takeoff
Position the aircraft on a smooth, flat surface facing into the wind. Gradually increase throttle while applying slight up-elevator to lift the nose wheel. Once sufficient speed is gained, gently apply more up-elevator to achieve liftoff.

6.3 Flight
The P-47 Razorback offers stable flight characteristics. Practice gentle turns and altitude changes before attempting advanced maneuvers. The powerful 4258 KV460 motor and Predator 80A ESC provide robust propulsion for various flight styles.

6.4 Landing
Approach the landing strip into the wind. Reduce throttle gradually and deploy flaps to slow the aircraft. Maintain a slight nose-up attitude and gently flare just above the ground to touch down smoothly on the main landing gear, followed by the nose wheel.
7. Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the aircraft clean from dirt, grass, and debris.
- Component Inspection: Periodically check all screws, linkages, and electrical connections for tightness and wear.
- Battery Care: Store LiPo batteries in a cool, dry place at storage voltage. Do not overcharge or over-discharge.
- Propeller Replacement: Replace any damaged or unbalanced propellers immediately to prevent vibrations and potential motor damage.
- EPO Foam Repair: Minor damage to the EPO foam can often be repaired using foam-safe adhesive.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Aircraft does not respond to controls | Unbound receiver, low transmitter/receiver battery, loose connection | Re-bind transmitter/receiver, charge batteries, check all connections. |
| Motor not spinning | Disconnected motor wire, faulty ESC, low battery | Check motor connections, verify ESC function, charge battery. |
| Aircraft flies erratically | Incorrect CG, damaged control surface, radio interference | Adjust CG, inspect/repair control surfaces, check radio environment. |
| Landing gear not retracting/extending | Damaged retract mechanism, loose wiring | Inspect retracts for damage, check wiring connections. |
