2. Product Features

The Zinus 5 Inch Memory Foam Mattress is engineered for a comfortable and supportive sleep experience. Key features include:

• Green Tea Infusion: The memory foam layer is infused with green tea extract, which helps to naturally eliminate odors and maintain freshness.
• Supportive Foam Layers: Composed of multiple foam layers, including a green tea-infused memory foam layer and a dense base foam layer with wave dynamics construction. This combination cradles the body, provides pressure relief, and enhances airflow for a cooler sleep.
• CertiPUR-US Certified: The foam used in these mattresses is CertiPUR-US certified, ensuring it meets rigorous standards for content, emissions, and durability. It is made without harmful chemicals such as ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals.
• Efficient Packaging: Utilizing advanced compression technology, the mattresses are efficiently compressed and rolled into a single box, simplifying shipping and maneuvering into your desired room.

3. Setup Instructions

Your Zinus mattress is compressed and rolled for easy delivery. Follow these steps for proper setup:

1. Preparation: Carefully remove the mattress box from its packaging. Place the rolled mattress on a clean, flat surface, such as your bed frame or floor, in the room where it will be used.
2. Unroll: Carefully cut open the outer plastic wrap using scissors. Avoid using a knife or sharp object that could damage the mattress fabric. Unroll the compressed mattress.
3. Remove Inner Plastic: Once unrolled, carefully cut and remove the inner plastic layer. The mattress will begin to expand immediately.
4. Allow to Expand: Allow the mattress to fully expand for 48 to 72 hours. While it may appear fully expanded sooner, the full expansion time ensures optimal comfort and firmness. During this period, the mattress may have a slight, harmless odor, which will dissipate.
5. Ventilation: For best results, ensure the room is well-ventilated during the expansion process.

4. Operating Instructions (Proper Use)

Once fully expanded, your Zinus memory foam mattress is ready for use. To ensure its longevity and your comfort:

• Proper Support: Place the mattress on a suitable bed frame with adequate support. This includes slatted bed frames (with slats no more than 3 inches apart), platform beds, or box springs. Inadequate support can lead to sagging and void the warranty.
• Rotation: To promote even wear and extend the life of your mattress, rotate it head-to-foot every 3-6 months. This helps distribute pressure evenly across the surface.
• Protective Cover: Consider using a mattress protector to shield against spills, stains, and allergens, further extending the life of your mattress.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will help maintain the quality and comfort of your Zinus mattress:

• Spot Cleaning: For minor spills, gently blot the area with a clean cloth and mild soap diluted in water. Do not saturate the mattress. Allow it to air dry completely before covering.
• Do Not Machine Wash: The mattress cover is not removable or machine washable. Attempting to wash the cover may damage the mattress and void the warranty.
• Airing Out: Periodically remove bedding and allow the mattress to air out for a few hours. This helps to dissipate moisture and maintain freshness.
• Avoid Jumping: To prevent damage to the internal foam structure, avoid jumping on the mattress.
