4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
This product is supplied without a battery and charger. Use only Einhell Power X-Change 18V batteries.
- Ensure the pruner is switched off.
- Slide a charged Einhell Power X-Change battery into the battery compartment until it clicks into place.
- To remove, press the release button on the battery and slide it out.

4.2. Saw Blade Installation/Removal
The pruner features a tool-free saw blade change mechanism.
- Ensure the battery is removed for safety.
- To install, open the blade clamp lever, insert the saw blade fully into the holder, and close the lever securely.
- To remove, open the blade clamp lever and pull the blade out.

4.3. Attaching/Removing Branch Handle
The removable branch handle provides additional stability and control when cutting thicker branches.
- Align the branch handle with the designated slots on the pruner.
- Push it firmly until it locks into place.
- To remove, press the release tabs and slide the handle off.
5. Operating Instructions
Before operating, ensure all safety precautions are understood and followed.
- Starting the Pruner: With a charged battery inserted, press the safety lock-off button (if present) and then squeeze the trigger switch to start the saw.
- Cutting Technique: Position the saw blade against the branch to be cut. For optimal performance and safety, allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the material. Apply steady, even pressure.
- Branch Handle Use: For branches up to 90 mm in diameter, the removable branch handle can be used to secure the branch, providing a cleaner cut and reducing kickback.
- Stopping the Pruner: Release the trigger switch to stop the saw.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your pruner.
- Cleaning: After each use, remove the battery and clean the tool with a dry cloth. Remove any sawdust or debris from the blade area and ventilation slots. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
- Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect the saw blade for sharpness and damage. Replace dull or damaged blades immediately.
- Storage: Store the pruner in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children. Remove the battery before long-term storage.
