Setup

1. Battery Installation:
   Locate the battery compartment on the back of the thermometer. Open the compartment cover. Insert the included 1 AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Initial Power On:
   Once the battery is installed, the display will activate. Remove any protective film from the screen.
3. Placement:
   Place the thermometer in your desired location. It can be hung using the integrated hook or placed on a flat surface. For accurate readings, ensure it is not in direct sunlight or near heat sources that could skew measurements.

Operating Instructions

• Reading Temperatures:
  The large digital display shows three temperature values:
  MAX: The highest temperature recorded since the last reset.
  CURRENT: The real-time ambient temperature.
  MIN: The lowest temperature recorded since the last reset.
• Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F):
  On the side of the thermometer, locate the button labeled "°C/°F". Press this button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit display modes.
• Resetting Max/Min Temperatures:
  To clear the recorded maximum and minimum temperatures, locate the "CLEAR" button on the side of the thermometer. Press this button to reset the Max and Min values to the current temperature. This allows for monitoring new temperature cycles.

Maintenance

• Cleaning:
  Wipe the thermometer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
• Battery Replacement:
  When the display becomes dim or stops functioning, replace the AA battery. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
• Storage:
  If storing the thermometer for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

• No Display or Dim Display:
  Check if the battery is installed correctly with the correct polarity. Replace the battery with a fresh AA battery.
• Inaccurate Readings:
  Ensure the thermometer is not in direct sunlight, near a heat source, or in a drafty area. Allow the thermometer to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after placement or battery change.
• Max/Min Values Not Resetting:
  Press the "CLEAR" button firmly. If the issue persists, remove and reinsert the battery.
