Setup: Battery Installation

The lantern operates on either 3 AA batteries or 3 D batteries (not included, but provide significantly longer runtime). Follow these steps to install batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover at the bottom of the lantern.
2. Twist the cover counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
3. Insert 3 AA or 3 D alkaline batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) ends align with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and twist clockwise to secure it. Ensure it is tightly sealed to maintain the lantern's waterproof rating.
