5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your SCHÜTTE RIO Kitchen Faucet:

1. Prepare the Sink Hole: Ensure your sink has a mounting hole with a diameter between 35 mm and 50 mm. Clean the area around the hole.
2. Insert the Faucet: Place the faucet body into the prepared sink hole. Ensure the base gasket is correctly positioned between the faucet and the sink surface.
3. Secure the Faucet: From underneath the sink, slide the fixing bracket and central connector onto the threaded rod of the faucet. Hand-tighten the nut, then use an appropriate tool to secure it firmly, ensuring the faucet is stable and aligned.
4. Connect Water Hoses: Attach the flexible connection hoses to the hot and cold water supply lines. The hoses are 350 mm long and DVGW certified. Ensure the hot water hose is connected to the hot supply and the cold water hose to the cold supply. Tighten connections securely but do not overtighten.
5. Check for Leaks: Once all connections are made, slowly turn on the main water supply. Carefully inspect all connections for any signs of leaks. If leaks are detected, turn off the water supply and re-tighten the affected connections.

6. Operating Instructions

Your SCHÜTTE RIO Kitchen Faucet is designed for ease of use:

• Water Flow Control: Lift the single lever to increase water flow. Push it down to decrease or stop the flow.
• Temperature Control: Move the lever to the right for cold water and to the left for hot water. The central position activates the energy-saving cold-start function, delivering cold water initially.
• Swivel Spout: The spout can be rotated 360 degrees to direct water flow as needed, providing flexibility for various tasks in and around the sink.
