1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your POLAR light LED Display. This 40" x 8" P10 RGB full-color sign features high resolution and new SMD technology, offering a versatile solution for advertising and messaging in both outdoor and indoor environments. It supports programming via WiFi and USB connections, compatible with Windows computers and mobile devices.

2. Setup

2.1. Package Contents

Before beginning installation, please verify that all components are present in the package:

• POLAR light LED Display (40" x 8")
• UL listed 5V Power Supply with USA plug (integrated inside housing)
• USB Flash Drive with software
• Printed Instruction Manual
• Mounting accessories (e.g., hanging points)
• Optional: Open/Close door sign (gift)

2.2. Mounting the Sign

The LED sign is equipped with mounting points for hanging. Choose a suitable location that provides clear visibility and access to a power outlet. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the sign (approximately 5.3 pounds).

1. Identify the mounting points on the top edge of the sign.
2. Securely attach appropriate hanging hardware (not always included, depending on installation method) to your desired location.
3. Carefully hang the LED sign, ensuring it is level and stable.

2.3. Power Connection

The power supply is integrated within the sign's housing. Simply plug the provided USA plug into a standard 85-240V (USA 110V supported) electrical outlet. The sign features an ON/OFF switch for convenient power control.

3. Operation

3.1. Software Installation

The POLAR light LED Display can be programmed using dedicated software for Windows computers or a mobile application for Android and iPhone devices.

• For Windows Computers:

  Insert the included USB flash drive into your Windows computer. Locate and run the installation file for the programming software. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation. Note: This software is not compatible with Apple iMac or MacBook operating systems.

• For Mobile Phones (Android & iPhone):

  Download the official POLAR light LED sign application from your device's respective app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iPhone). Install the application on your smartphone.

3.2. Connecting to the Sign

The sign supports both WiFi and USB for content transfer.

• WiFi Connection:

  Ensure your LED sign is powered on. On your computer or mobile device, connect to the sign's dedicated WiFi network (SSID will typically be the sign's model or a unique identifier). Once connected, open the programming software/app and follow the instructions to establish communication with the sign.

• USB Flash Drive Transfer:

  Using the Windows software, create your desired message or program. Save the program file to a USB flash drive. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the LED sign. The sign will automatically detect and load the content. Remove the USB drive once the transfer is complete.

3.3. Programming Messages and Effects

The software allows for extensive customization of your display content:

• Text Input: Enter your desired messages. The software supports English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, and Chinese.
• Font and Color: Select various fonts, sizes, and full RGB colors for your text.
• Scrolling Effects: Choose from multiple scrolling directions and speeds.
• Backgrounds and Animations: Utilize different eye-catching backgrounds and dynamic effects to enhance your message.
• Time and Date: Display current time and date.
• Image/Logo Integration: Upload and display images or logos.

After creating your program, send it to the sign via WiFi or USB. The sign will store the last programmed message and display it automatically upon power-on, even without a connected device.

4. Maintenance

The POLAR light LED Display is designed for durability and minimal maintenance. Its IP45 rating ensures resistance to rain and sunshine, making it suitable for outdoor use.

• Cleaning: To clean the display surface, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the LED surface.
• Environmental Conditions: While the sign is weather-resistant, extreme conditions (e.g., prolonged submersion, direct high-pressure water jets) should be avoided to ensure longevity.
• Power Supply: Ensure the power supply unit is kept in a well-ventilated area and not covered, to prevent overheating.
