Safety Information
Important Safety Notice:
Do not remove the mattress cover, as it could harm the fire safety barrier and void the warranty. This mattress is designed with safety features integrated into its construction, and tampering with the cover can compromise these features.
Setup Guide
Your ZINUS mattress is efficiently compressed and rolled into one box for convenient shipping and easy maneuvering. Follow these steps to set up your new mattress:
- Unpack the Box: Carefully remove the rolled mattress from its shipping box. Position the box near your bed frame for easier handling.

- Unroll the Mattress: Place the rolled mattress onto your bed frame. Carefully cut open the outer plastic wrapping and unroll the mattress flat onto the frame.

- Allow for Decompression: Once unrolled, carefully cut and remove the inner plastic layer. The mattress will immediately begin to expand.

- Full Expansion: Allow 24 to 72 hours for the mattress to fully regain its original shape and firmness. Memory foam expands faster in warmer rooms. Expansion time may vary based on surrounding temperatures.

Maintenance and Care
To ensure the longevity and continued comfort of your ZINUS mattress, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Mattress Protection: Use a mattress protector to guard against spills, stains, and allergens.
- Cleaning Spills: In case of spills, immediately dab the affected area with a clean cloth. Avoid saturating the mattress with liquids. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution and dab gently. Do not machine wash or dry clean the mattress.
- Ventilation: Periodically air out your mattress by removing bedding to allow for better air circulation.
- Rotation: While memory foam mattresses do not require flipping, rotating your mattress 180 degrees every 3-6 months can help promote even wear and extend its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| Mattress not fully expanding | Allow 24-72 hours for full expansion. Colder temperatures can slow down the expansion process; ensure the room is adequately warm. |
| Unusual odor upon unboxing | This is a common occurrence with new foam products, known as "off-gassing." It is harmless and will dissipate. Ensure good ventilation in the room by opening windows. The odor typically fades within a few days to a few weeks. |
| Mattress feels too firm | Memory foam can feel firmer in cooler environments. Allow the mattress to adjust to room temperature. Consider using a mattress topper for added plushness if desired. |
