Components

The Camelot Jr. game includes the following components:

• 1 Wooden Base: The foundation for building the castle.
• 6 Wooden Towers/Blocks: Various shapes and colors (red, orange, purple, blue, green) used to construct the path.
• 3 Staircase Blocks: Blocks with stairs to create ascending or descending paths.
• 1 Princess Figure: A wooden figure representing the princess.
• 1 Knight Figure: A wooden figure representing the knight.
• 1 Challenge Booklet: Contains 48 challenges with increasing difficulty levels (Starter, Junior, Expert, Master) and their solutions.

Setup

1. Place the wooden base on a flat, stable surface.
2. Open the Challenge Booklet to select a challenge. Challenges are numbered and categorized by difficulty.
3. Identify the starting positions of the Knight and Princess figures, and the specific blocks required for the chosen challenge, as indicated in the booklet.
4. Place the Knight and Princess figures and the specified blocks onto the wooden base according to the challenge diagram.
5. Set aside any blocks not shown in the challenge diagram; these will not be used for that particular challenge.

Operating Instructions (How to Play)

The objective of Camelot Jr. is to build a path using the remaining blocks to connect the Knight and the Princess. The path must allow both figures to walk from their starting positions to meet each other without jumping or climbing over obstacles.

Gameplay Rules:

• The Knight and Princess must be able to walk along the constructed path.
• They cannot jump over gaps or climb over blocks.
• Blocks cannot be placed upside down.
• Only the blocks indicated for the specific challenge can be used.
• The path must be continuous, allowing movement from one figure to the other.

Steps to Solve a Challenge:

1. Analyze the Challenge: Observe the starting positions of the Knight and Princess and the initial block setup.
2. Identify Available Blocks: Note which blocks are provided for the challenge (shown above the challenge diagram in the booklet).
3. Strategize: Plan how to arrange the available blocks to create a continuous path. Consider the height and shape of each block.
4. Place Blocks: Carefully place the blocks onto the wooden base to form the path.
5. Verify Solution: Once you believe you have completed the path, visually confirm that both the Knight and Princess can traverse it to meet each other without violating any rules.
6. Check Solution (Optional): If you are stuck or wish to confirm your solution, the solution for each challenge is provided on the backside of its page in the Challenge Booklet.
