3. Setup

Before using the CRC Ice-Off Windshield Spray De-Icer, ensure you are in a well-ventilated area and have read all safety warnings.

  1. Prepare the Surface: For best results, brush off any heavy snow or slush from the windshield or frozen area before applying the de-icer.
  2. Attach Straw (Optional): If precise application is needed, such as for frozen locks, insert the provided red straw into the nozzle.
  3. Shake Can: Shake the can well before each use to ensure proper mixing of contents.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective ice and frost removal:

  1. Spray Application: Hold the can upright and spray CRC Ice-Off directly onto the iced or frosted surface of the windshield.
  2. Allow Penetration: Allow the de-icer to penetrate and melt the ice. The time required may vary depending on the thickness of the ice.
  3. Assist Penetration (for thick ice): If the ice is particularly thick or non-porous, a few light scratches across the ice with a non-abrasive tool (e.g., an ice scraper) can assist the de-icer in penetrating more quickly.
  4. Wipe Off: Once the ice has melted, wipe the windshield clean with a squeegee or windshield wipers.
  5. Thawing Frozen Locks: For frozen locks, use the attached straw to direct a small amount of spray directly into the keyhole. Allow a few moments for the de-icer to work before attempting to insert the key.

5. Maintenance

Proper storage and handling will ensure the longevity and effectiveness of your CRC Ice-Off De-Icer.

  • Storage: Store the can in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and open flames. Do not store at temperatures above 120°F (49°C).
  • Cap Replacement: Always replace the cap securely after use to prevent accidental discharge and maintain product integrity.
  • Avoid Freezing: While the product is designed for sub-zero temperatures, storing the can itself in extremely cold conditions for prolonged periods may affect propellant pressure. Store at room temperature when possible.

6. Troubleshooting
