1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the LIEBMAYA Wireless Winch Remote Control Kit. This kit provides a convenient and safe way to operate your 12V winch wirelessly, eliminating the need for a wired connection during operation. It is designed for use with various vehicles including trucks, Jeeps, ATVs, and SUVs, and is compatible with most major winch brands.

• This product is designed for 12V DC systems only. Do not connect to other voltage systems.

5. Setup and Installation

The installation of the wireless receiver unit requires basic electrical knowledge. If you are unsure, consult a qualified professional.

5.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the following diagram for proper wiring connections. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.

5.2 Connection Steps

1. Identify Wires: The receiver unit has multiple colored wires. Typically:
   • Red Wire: Connect to the positive (+12V) power source.
   • Black Wire: Connect to the negative (Ground/GND) power source.
   • Yellow Wire: Connect to the "OUT" (winch payout) control wire of your winch relay/contactor.
   • White Wire: Connect to the "IN" (winch retrieve) control wire of your winch relay/contactor.
   • Blue Wire: This is typically the antenna cable. Ensure it is not grounded or shorted.
2. Power Source: Connect the red wire to a fused 12V DC power source (e.g., car battery positive terminal). Connect the black wire to a reliable ground point (e.g., car chassis or battery negative terminal).
3. Winch Control Wires: Connect the yellow and white wires to the corresponding "IN" and "OUT" control terminals on your winch's relay or contactor. WARNING: Do not connect these directly to the winch motor. They must connect to the winch's relay/contactor.
4. Secure Installation: Mount the receiver unit in a dry, protected location, away from excessive heat, moisture, and vibration. Ensure all connections are tight and properly insulated with electrical tape or heat shrink tubing.

6. Operating Instructions

Once the receiver unit is correctly installed and powered, you can operate your winch using the wireless remote control handsets.

6.1 Remote Control Handset

1. Power On: Locate the "ON/OFF" power switch on the side of the remote control handset. Slide the switch to the "ON" position. The indicator light on the remote will illuminate briefly.
2. Winch Out (Payout): Press and hold the "OUT" button to extend the winch cable. Release the button to stop.
3. Winch In (Retrieve): Press and hold the "IN" button to retract the winch cable. Release the button to stop.
4. Power Off: When finished operating the winch, slide the "ON/OFF" power switch to the "OFF" position. This is crucial to prevent accidental activation and conserve battery life.

Note: Some winches or setups may experience a slight delay (e.g., 1 second) between pressing the button and the winch activating/deactivating. This is normal for some systems.

7. Maintenance

• Keep Clean and Dry: Regularly wipe down the remote control handsets and receiver unit with a dry, soft cloth. Keep them free from dirt, dust, and moisture.
• Battery Replacement: If the remote control handset's indicator light does not illuminate or its range decreases significantly, replace the 12V battery inside the handset. Refer to Figure 6.1 for battery location.
• Inspect Wiring: Periodically check all wiring connections to the receiver unit for corrosion, fraying, or loose terminals. Ensure they remain secure and insulated.
• Storage: Store the remote control handsets in a safe, dry place when not in use, preferably with the power switch in the "OFF" position.
