3. Setup

3.1 Connecting the Printer

  1. Ensure the Safescan TP-230 printer and your Safescan money counter are both powered off.
  2. Locate the appropriate port on the back of your Safescan money counter (either USB or Serial).
  3. Connect one end of the provided USB or Serial printer cable to the corresponding port on the back of the TP-230 printer.
  4. Connect the other end of the cable to your Safescan money counter.
  5. Connect the power adapter to the printer's power input port and then plug it into a suitable power outlet.

3.2 Loading Thermal Paper

  1. Gently press the lid release button or lift the lid cover of the printer.
  2. Insert the thermal paper roll into the compartment with the paper feeding from the bottom and exiting towards the front. Ensure the paper is aligned correctly.
  3. Pull a small amount of paper out past the cutting edge.
  4. Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place.

4.2 Printing Reports

Once the printer is connected and powered on, and your money counter is also on, you can initiate printing directly from your Safescan money counter. Refer to your specific money counter's user manual for detailed instructions on how to generate and print reports. The TP-230 will automatically print a detailed report showing the total counting result per denomination.

4.3 Indicator Lights and Buttons
