5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Initial Burn-Off
Before first use, operate the grill on high heat for approximately 15-20 minutes with the lid closed. This will burn off any manufacturing residues. Allow to cool completely before cleaning and first use.
5.2. Using the Grill
- Ensure the Grill Plate is correctly positioned on the Pot Stand.
- Plug the appliance into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Turn the control knob to the desired heat setting (Low, Medium, High).
- Preheat the grill with the lid closed for 5-10 minutes, or until the desired temperature is reached (monitor via lid thermometer).
- Place food on the grill plate. Close the lid for even cooking and heat retention.
- Adjust the control knob as needed during cooking.
- After cooking, turn the control knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance.
5.3. Using the Pizza Stone
For best results, preheat the pizza stone slowly and thoroughly.
- Ensure the Pizza Stone is correctly positioned on its holder, which is placed on the Pot Stand.
- Plug the appliance into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Turn the control knob to a medium-high setting.
- Preheat the pizza stone with the lid closed for 15-20 minutes. The stone needs to reach a high, even temperature for a crispy crust.
- Carefully transfer your pizza onto the hot stone using a pizza peel.
- Close the lid immediately. Cook for 5-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly. Cooking times may vary.
- After cooking, turn the control knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance. Allow the stone to cool completely before handling.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your appliance.
- Always ensure the appliance is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Grill Plate & Pot Stand: Wash with warm, soapy water. For stubborn residue, use a non-abrasive scrubber. Dry thoroughly.
- Pizza Stone: Allow to cool completely. Scrape off any excess food with a plastic scraper. Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use soap or detergents on the pizza stone, as it is porous and will absorb them, affecting future food taste. Air dry completely.
- Main Unit & Lid: Wipe exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly. Avoid getting water into electrical components.
- Storage: Store the appliance in a dry, protected area when not in use.
