Maintenance

1. Water Resistance

The Casio A168 watch is rated as water resistant. This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is not designed for swimming, diving, or prolonged water exposure. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet to prevent water intrusion.

2. Battery Replacement

The watch uses one CR2016 lithium metal battery, with an approximate life of 7 years. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.

If replacing the battery yourself, carefully remove the four screws on the back cover, replace the battery, and ensure the gasket is properly seated before re-securing the cover. Improper reassembly can compromise water resistance.

3. Cleaning

Wipe the watch case and band with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the watch's finish or seals.
