5. Operating Instructions

Once the BRESSER BR-2245 Daylight Studio Light Set is fully assembled, follow these steps to operate it.

  1. Positioning: Place the assembled light stands with softboxes in the desired positions around your subject. Adjust the height and angle of each softbox using the stand's adjustment knobs and the tilt head.
  2. Power Connection: Plug the power cord of each lamp holder into a suitable electrical outlet.
  3. Power On/Off: Use the power switches located on each lamp holder to turn the lamps on or off. Some lamp holders may have individual switches for each pair of lamps, allowing for adjustable brightness by controlling the number of active lamps.
  4. Light Adjustment:
    • Brightness: If your lamp holder has multiple switches, you can adjust the light intensity by turning on fewer lamps.
    • Diffusion: The outer diffuser softens the light, reducing harsh shadows. For a more direct and contrasty light, the outer diffuser can be removed.
    • Angle: Use the tilt head on the light stand to direct the light precisely where it is needed.
  5. Cool Down: After use, turn off the lamps and allow them to cool down before disassembling or storing the equipment.
