1. Introduction

The Paslode IM350+ Framing Nailer is a powerful, gas-powered tool designed for professional framing applications. It offers excellent power-to-weight ratio and is equipped with a quick-charge Lithium battery, capable of delivering up to 9,000 shots per charge. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your IM350+ nailer.

4.1. Charging the Lithium Battery

The Paslode IM350+ uses a Lithium-Ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

  1. Insert the Lithium battery into the provided Lithium battery charger.
  2. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. The charger's indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes a short period, providing up to 9,000 shots.
  4. Once charged, remove the battery from the charger.

4.2. Inserting the Gas Cartridge

The IM350+ is gas-powered. A fresh gas cartridge is essential for proper operation.

  1. Ensure the battery is removed for safety.
  2. Locate the gas cartridge compartment, usually near the handle.
  3. Insert the gas cartridge firmly until it clicks into place.
  4. Reinsert the charged Lithium battery.

4.3. Loading Nails

The nailer uses collated framing nails.

  1. Pull back the nail pusher until it locks into place.
  2. Insert a strip of collated nails into the magazine, ensuring the nail points are facing forward.
  3. Release the nail pusher, allowing it to push the nails forward into the firing position.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Firing the Nailer

To operate the IM350+:

  1. Ensure safety glasses and hearing protection are worn.
  2. Place the nose of the tool firmly against the workpiece. The contact trip mechanism must be fully depressed.
  3. Pull the trigger to fire a nail. The tool will cycle, driving the nail and preparing for the next shot.
  4. For sequential firing, release the trigger and lift the tool from the workpiece slightly before re-depressing the nose and pulling the trigger again.

5.2. Adjusting Depth of Drive

The depth at which nails are driven can be adjusted to suit different materials and applications.
