5. Setup Instructions

Before starting, ensure the pump is on a stable surface and near the water source.

  1. Prime the Pump: Fill the pump with water through the inlet to wet the impeller. This is crucial for proper operation.
  2. Connect Inlet Hose: Attach the provided 6ft inlet suction hose to the pump's inlet port. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection. Place the inlet suction strainer at the end of this hose and submerge it in the water source.
  3. Connect Outlet Hose: Install a 3/4 inch outlet hose (not included) on the pump's outlet side. The outlet hose should be as short as possible and no longer than 25 ft for optimal performance. Ensure the outlet hose is positioned to direct water to the desired drainage area.
  4. Positioning: The pump should be located within 6 feet of the water source (3 feet maximum vertical suction distance). The inlet hose must reach below the surface of the water, and the outlet hose must be kept above water.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. After completing the setup, plug the pump into a grounded 115V AC power outlet.
  2. The pump should start transferring water immediately.
  3. If the pump does not start to pump water within 15 seconds, stop the pump, disconnect power, and repeat the priming and connection steps. Ensure there is no air in the system.
  4. Monitor the pump during operation. Do not leave it unattended, especially as the water level decreases.
  5. Once the water transfer is complete or the water level is sufficiently low, unplug the pump from the power source.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT RUN PUMP DRY! This will cause damage to the pump.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pump.

  • Impeller and Carbon Brushes: The pump includes a replacement parts kit with an extra impeller and carbon brushes. Refer to the detailed instructions in the manual for replacement procedures if wear is observed or performance decreases.
  • Storage: When not in use, especially for extended periods, open the pump body, clean and dry all parts, and apply silicone grease to the chamber walls and components to prevent corrosion. Store in a cool, dry place.

9. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Pump runs but does not transfer water. Not properly primed; air leak in suction line; inlet hose not submerged; clogged impeller. Ensure pump is fully primed. Check all connections for tightness. Verify inlet hose is fully submerged. Inspect and clear any clogs.
Pump overheats and shuts off. Running dry; prolonged use; restricted flow. Do not run dry. Allow pump to cool down. Check for kinks in hoses or blockages.
Reduced flow rate. Partial clog in hoses or strainer; worn impeller; air in system. Clean hoses and strainer. Inspect and replace impeller if worn. Re-prime the pump.
Pump is excessively noisy. Air in system; worn bearings; foreign object in pump. Re-prime the pump. Inspect for foreign objects. If noise persists, contact support.
