Important Safety Instructions

• For Indoor Use Only: Do not use this device outdoors or in wet environments.
• High Voltage: The internal grid operates at 1500V. Do not touch the high-voltage grid with hands or any objects.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the insect killer and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Placement: Choose a suitable indoor location for the device. For optimal performance, place it in a dark area away from competing light sources. Ensure it is placed on a stable, flat surface or suspended securely.
3. Suspension (Optional): If suspending the device, attach the provided suspension chain to the designated loops on the top handle. Hang the device from a secure hook or fixture, ensuring it is stable and out of reach of children and pets.
4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet voltage matches the device's requirements (refer to specifications).

Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Locate the ON/OFF switch, typically found on the top of the device. Flip the switch to the 'ON' (I) position. The UV lamp will illuminate, indicating the device is active.
2. Operation: The UV light will attract flying insects. Upon contact with the high-voltage grid, insects will be instantly eliminated and fall into the removable collection tray at the base of the unit.
3. Continuous Use: For best results, operate the insect killer continuously, especially during periods of high insect activity.
4. Power Off: To turn off the device, flip the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' (O) position.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.

1. Power Off and Unplug: ALWAYS turn off the device and unplug it from the power outlet before any cleaning or maintenance.
2. Empty Collection Tray: The device features a removable collection tray at its base. Gently twist or slide the base to detach the tray. Empty the accumulated insect debris into a waste bin.
3. Clean Tray: Wash the collection tray with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.
4. Clean Grid: Use the provided cleaning brush (or a dry, non-metallic brush) to gently brush away any insect remains from the high-voltage grid. Do not use water or wet cloths on the grid.
5. Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, reattach the collection tray securely to the base of the unit.
6. Bulb Replacement: The UV lamp has a limited lifespan. When the lamp dims significantly or stops working, it needs replacement. Ensure the device is unplugged. Carefully remove the old bulb by twisting and pulling it out. Insert the new 11W UV fluorescent bulb (type specified in specifications) by aligning the pins and pushing it gently into the socket until secure.
