2. Product Overview

The UBON BT-23 is a versatile wireless speaker offering multiple playback options including Bluetooth, FM radio, TF card, and USB. It features a compact design and a rechargeable battery for portable use.

2.1 Speaker Components

2.2 Control Buttons and Ports

  • Play/Pause Button: Initiates or pauses audio playback.
  • Mode Button: Switches between Bluetooth, FM Radio, TF Card, USB, and AUX modes.
  • Previous Track/Volume Down Button: Short press for previous track, long press to decrease volume.
  • Next Track/Volume Up Button: Short press for next track, long press to increase volume.

  • AUX Port: For connecting external audio devices via a 3.5mm audio cable.
  • DC 5V Port: Micro USB input for charging the speaker.
  • USB Port: For playing audio from a USB flash drive.
  • TF Card Slot: For playing audio from a MicroSD (TF) card.
  • ON/OFF Switch: Powers the speaker on or off.

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the DC 5V port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (DC 5V 500mA output recommended) or a computer USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Charging typically takes approximately 120 minutes (2 hours). The indicator light will change or turn off once fully charged.

A full charge provides approximately 4 hours of playback time.

3.2 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. The speaker will emit an audible prompt.
  • To power off, slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode (indicated by an audible prompt or LED). If not, press the 'Mode' button to switch to Bluetooth mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, computer, etc.).
  3. Search for available Bluetooth devices. The speaker will appear as "BT-23" or similar.
  4. Select "BT-23" from the list to pair. Once paired, the speaker will confirm with an audible notification.
  5. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker. The effective Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters (33 feet).

4.2 FM Radio Mode

  1. Press the 'Mode' button repeatedly until the speaker enters FM Radio mode.
  2. To auto-scan and save available FM stations, press and hold the 'Play/Pause' button. The speaker will scan and store stations automatically.
  3. Use the 'Previous Track' and 'Next Track' buttons to navigate between saved FM stations.

4.3 TF Card Playback

  1. Insert a MicroSD (TF) card with pre-loaded audio files into the TF card slot.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to TF Card mode and begin playing audio. If not, press the 'Mode' button to select TF Card mode.
  3. Use the 'Play/Pause', 'Previous Track', and 'Next Track' buttons to control playback.

4.4 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive with pre-loaded audio files into the USB port.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playing audio. If not, press the 'Mode' button to select USB mode.
  3. Use the 'Play/Pause', 'Previous Track', and 'Next Track' buttons to control playback.

4.5 AUX Mode

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
  3. Press the 'Mode' button to switch to AUX mode.
  4. Control audio playback directly from your connected external device.

4.6 Volume and Track Control

  • Volume Adjustment: Long press the 'Previous Track' button to decrease volume. Long press the 'Next Track' button to increase volume.
  • Track Navigation: Short press the 'Previous Track' button to go to the beginning of the current track or the previous track. Short press the 'Next Track' button to skip to the next track.

5. Maintenance

  • Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Avoid exposing the speaker to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the speaker yourself, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Check the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • No Sound: Increase the volume on both the speaker and the connected device. Ensure the correct mode (Bluetooth, AUX, TF, USB) is selected. Check audio cables for secure connection in AUX mode.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Failure: Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your device. Move your device closer to the speaker (within 10 meters). Clear previous Bluetooth connections on your device and try pairing again.
  • Poor FM Reception: Reposition the speaker to improve signal reception.
