1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your LuvLap Starshine Baby Stroller/Pram. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

The LuvLap Starshine Stroller is designed for children from 0 to 3 years of age, with a maximum weight recommendation of 15 kilograms.

2. Safety Information

• Always use the 2-point safety harness to secure your child in the stroller.
• Never leave your child unattended in the stroller.
• Ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged before placing a child in the stroller.
• Always engage the rear wheel brakes when the stroller is stationary.
• Do not overload the storage basket or back pocket, as this may cause instability.
• Avoid hanging bags or items on the handlebar, as this can tip the stroller.
• Regularly inspect the stroller for loose parts, damaged components, or worn fabric. Discontinue use if any damage is found.
• Keep children away from moving parts during adjustment or folding.

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your LuvLap Starshine Stroller:

1. Unfolding the Stroller Frame:
   Place the folded stroller on a flat surface. Release any frame locks. Lift the handlebar and pull upwards until the frame clicks into its fully open position. Ensure all frame locks are securely engaged.

2. Installing the Footrest Support Rod:
   Locate the footrest support rod. Align the ends of the rod with the designated slots on the stroller frame beneath the footrest area. Push firmly until it clicks into place.

3. Installing the Wheels:
   Attach the front and rear wheel assemblies to their respective posts on the stroller frame. Push each wheel assembly firmly onto the axle until you hear a distinct 'click', indicating it is securely locked. Ensure all wheels rotate freely.

4. Installing the Seat Pad:
   Position the cushioned seat pad onto the stroller frame. Secure it using the attached velcro straps or buckles, ensuring it is snug and properly aligned with the seat and backrest.

5. Installing the Storage Basket:
   Attach the storage basket to the designated hooks or clips on the lower part of the stroller frame. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent detachment during use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Folding and Unfolding

To fold the stroller, ensure the canopy is retracted and the seat is in an upright position. Locate the folding mechanism (usually near the handlebar or on the side of the frame) and activate it according to the specific design. Push the handlebar downwards until the stroller collapses into a compact form. Secure with the frame holder. To unfold, release the frame holder and pull the handlebar upwards until the frame locks into place.

5.2. Reversible Handlebar

The stroller features a reversible handlebar, allowing your child to face you or face forward. To reverse, locate the levers on either side of the handlebar. Pull these levers simultaneously and swing the handlebar over to the desired position until it locks securely.

5.3. Seat Recline Adjustment

The seat offers 3 recline positions for your child's comfort. To adjust, locate the recline mechanism at the back of the seat. Squeeze the lever or press the button and adjust the seat to the desired angle (sitting, relaxing, or sleeping). Release the mechanism to lock the position.

5.4. Safety Harness Usage

Always secure your child using the 2-point safety harness. Place your child in the seat, bring the harness straps over their shoulders and between their legs, and buckle them securely. Adjust the straps for a snug fit, ensuring your child cannot slip out.

5.5. Footrest Adjustment

The footrest can be adjusted to provide optimal comfort for your child. Locate the adjustment mechanism beneath the footrest and move it to the desired position. Ensure it locks into place.

5.6. Wheel Operation (Swivel Lock and Brakes)

The front wheels feature a 360° swivel for easy maneuverability. To lock the front wheels for straight-line strolling on uneven terrain, push down the locking mechanism located above each front wheel. To unlock, pull the mechanism up. The rear wheels are equipped with brakes. Press down on the brake pedal located near the rear wheels to engage the brakes. Lift the pedal to release them. Always engage brakes when the stroller is stationary.

5.7. Canopy Adjustment

The double-layered canopy provides protection from sunlight. Adjust the canopy by pulling it forward or pushing it back to cover or expose your child as needed.

5.8. Storage (Basket and Back Pocket)

Utilize the large storage basket located beneath the seat for carrying essentials. The stroller also includes a back pocket for smaller items. Do not exceed the recommended weight capacity for these storage areas.

5.9. Peek-a-Boo Window

The canopy includes a peek-a-boo window, allowing you to check on your child without disturbing them or stopping the stroller.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: The seat cushions are detachable and washable. Refer to the care label for specific washing instructions. Wipe the frame and plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Lubrication: Periodically lubricate moving parts, such as wheel axles and folding mechanisms, with a silicone-based lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
• Storage: Store the stroller in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

• Stroller does not fold/unfold smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the folding mechanism. Ensure all fabric is clear of moving parts. Lubricate hinges if necessary.
• Wheels are stiff or not swiveling: Clean any debris from the wheel axles. Ensure the swivel lock is disengaged. Lubricate the wheel mechanisms.
• Brakes are not engaging/disengaging: Check for obstructions around the brake mechanism. Ensure the brake pedal is fully pressed or lifted.
