3. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is critical for the safety of your child. Always refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for specific car seat installation instructions.
3.1. High-Back Booster Installation
- Position the Booster: Place the KidFit Zip Booster on the vehicle seat. Ensure it sits flat against the vehicle's seat back.

- Connect LATCH (Optional but Recommended): Locate your vehicle's lower anchor bars. Extend the SuperCinch LATCH connectors from the booster seat and attach them to the vehicle's lower anchor bars.
- Tighten LATCH: Pull the SuperCinch LATCH one-pull tightener strap until the booster seat is securely installed and does not move more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.

If you encounter issues with your Chicco KidFit Zip Booster, refer to the following common solutions:
- Booster feels loose after LATCH installation: Ensure the SuperCinch LATCH strap is pulled tightly. The booster should not move more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) at the belt path. Re-read Section 3.1 for detailed LATCH tightening instructions.
- Shoulder belt does not fit correctly: Adjust the headrest height. The shoulder belt guide must be positioned just above your child's shoulders, allowing the belt to lie flat across the collarbone.
- Seat pad is difficult to remove/attach: Ensure all zippers are fully unzipped for removal and properly aligned for reattachment. Refer to Section 5.1.
- Child is uncomfortable: Verify that the booster is installed correctly and the child meets the weight/height requirements. Check the ReclineSure Leveling Foot adjustment.
