The Micro CA-330 features a robust design for professional use. The main unit includes a 3.5-inch color LCD screen, intuitive controls, and a comfortable pistol grip. Setup

  1. Charge the Battery: Insert the rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery into the camera unit. Connect the battery charger to the camera and a power outlet. Allow the battery to fully charge before first use.
  2. Insert SD Card: Locate the SD card slot, typically on the side or bottom of the unit. Insert the provided 4GB SD card until it clicks into place.
  3. Attach Imager: Connect the 17mm imager cable to the designated port on the main camera unit. Ensure a secure connection.
  4. Power On: Press and hold the power button until the display illuminates.
  5. Connect to Mobile Device (Optional):
    • Download the free RIDGID VIEW app from your device's app store (iOS or Android).
    • Enable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on your mobile device.
    • On the Micro CA-330, activate Wi-Fi or Bluetooth mode (refer to on-screen menu).
    • Follow the app's instructions to pair with your Micro CA-330 for a second live display and file sharing.

Operating Instructions

  1. Basic Inspection:
    • Guide the imager head into the area to be inspected.
    • Adjust the LED brightness using the controls on the unit to achieve optimal visibility.
    • Observe the live feed on the 3.5-inch LCD screen or a connected mobile device.
  2. Capturing Images and Videos:
    • To capture a still image (JPEG 640x480), press the dedicated photo button.
    • To record a video (MP4 640x480), press the dedicated video record button to start, and press again to stop.
    • Files are saved to the internal memory or the SD card.
  3. Image Manipulation:
    • Use the navigation buttons to rotate the image on the screen for better orientation.
    • Utilize the digital zoom function to magnify specific areas of interest.
  4. Using Attachments:
    • The hook attachment can be used to retrieve small objects.
    • The magnet attachment helps in retrieving metallic items.
    • The mirror attachment provides an angled view for inspecting corners or obscured areas.
    • Attach these accessories securely to the imager head as needed.
  5. Viewing and Transferring Files:
    • Access the gallery or playback mode on the camera to review captured media.
    • Connect the camera to a computer via the USB cable to transfer files.
    • Alternatively, use the RIDGID VIEW app on a connected mobile device to view and share files instantly.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device does not power on. Battery is discharged or not properly inserted. Ensure battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Connect to AC adapter.
No image on screen. Imager cable is disconnected or damaged. Check the imager cable connection. If damaged, contact support.
Poor image quality. Imager lens is dirty or LEDs are not adjusted. Clean the imager lens. Adjust LED brightness.
Cannot connect to mobile device. Wi-Fi/Bluetooth not enabled on camera or mobile, or app not running. Ensure Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is active on both devices. Restart the RIDGID VIEW app.
Cannot save images/videos. SD card is full, not inserted, or corrupted. Check SD card insertion. Delete old files or replace SD card. Format SD card if necessary (data will be lost).
