VESAFE CL-203

VESAFE Wireless Tire Pressure Monitoring System - Instruction Manual

Model: CL-203

Important Safety Information

This TPMS is designed for passenger cars only. Due to transmission range limitations, it is not suitable for RVs, trailers, campers, caravans, or other recreational vehicles.

Always ensure proper tire inflation for safe driving and optimal fuel economy. This system provides real-time monitoring to assist in maintaining correct tire pressure and temperature.

Product Overview

The VESAFE Wireless Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) consists of a main display unit and four external tire pressure sensors.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your VESAFE TPMS. The sensors are pre-programmed at the factory and labeled for specific tire positions (LF: Left Front, RF: Right Front, LR: Left Rear, RR: Right Rear).

Sensor Installation:

  1. Unscrew the original valve cap from the tire valve.
  2. Place one of the provided anti-theft hex nuts onto the valve stem, with the flat side facing the tire. Do not tighten yet.
  3. Screw the corresponding tire sensor (e.g., LF sensor for the left front tire) onto the valve stem until it is hand-tight and you hear a slight hiss, indicating air is escaping briefly before the sensor seals.
  4. Using the small wrench, tighten the anti-theft hex nut against the sensor by turning it counter-clockwise. This secures the sensor and prevents theft.
  5. Repeat for all four tires, ensuring each sensor is installed on its designated tire position.

Display Unit Setup:

  1. Plug the LCD display unit into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket. The display will power on and show initial readings.
  2. Drive the vehicle. The sensors will automatically transmit tire pressure and temperature data to the display unit once the vehicle reaches approximately 20 MPH. This may take a few minutes.

Re-pairing Sensors (if needed):

The sensors are pre-programmed. Re-pairing is typically only necessary if a sensor is replaced. For detailed re-pairing instructions, please refer to the official seller video below.

Operating Instructions

The LCD display provides real-time information about your tire pressure and temperature. It also features a USB charging port for convenience.

Display Information:

  • PSI/Bar: Tire pressure readings for each of the four tires.
  • °C: Tire temperature readings for each of the four tires.
  • Voltage: Vehicle battery voltage.

Adjusting Alarm Thresholds:

The system allows you to set custom high and low pressure alert values. The default range is 29-44 PSI (2.0-3.0 Bar).

  1. Press and hold the side button on the display unit to enter the setting mode.
  2. Tap the button to cycle through settings (High PSI, Low PSI, High Temperature).
  3. When the desired setting is displayed, press and hold the button to adjust the value. Tap to increment/decrement.
  4. Once set, press and hold again to confirm and move to the next setting, or to exit the setting mode.

Alarm Modes

The system provides visual and audible warnings for various abnormal tire conditions:

  • High Pressure Alarm: Triggered when tire pressure exceeds the set high threshold.
  • Low Pressure Alarm: Triggered when tire pressure falls below the set low threshold.
  • Fast Leakage Alarm: Alerts rapidly if a sudden drop in tire pressure is detected.
  • High Temperature Alarm: Warns if tire temperature exceeds the set high threshold.
  • Sensor Battery Low Alarm: Indicates when a sensor's battery (CR1632) needs replacement.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: The external sensors use replaceable CR1632 lithium metal batteries. When the sensor battery low alarm is triggered, use the provided tool to open the sensor and replace the battery.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the display unit and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: If storing the system for an extended period, ensure the display unit is unplugged and sensors are removed from tires if the vehicle will not be used.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VESAFE TPMS, consider the following:

  • No Display/Readings: Ensure the display unit is securely plugged into the 12V socket. Check vehicle power. Drive the vehicle above 20 MPH for a few minutes to activate sensors.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Verify sensors are installed on the correct tire positions. Ensure sensors are tightened properly to prevent air leakage. Compare readings with a reliable manual tire gauge.
  • Constant Alarms: Check if tire pressures or temperatures are outside the set thresholds. Adjust thresholds if necessary. Check for rapid air leaks.
  • Sensor Not Responding: Check the sensor battery. If replaced, ensure it's inserted correctly. Re-pair the sensor if needed (refer to re-pairing video).
