1. Product Overview

The HOUHUI USB RGB LED Strip Lights Kit provides versatile color-changing illumination for various indoor applications. This kit includes pre-cut RGB 5050 LED strips, a 44-key IR remote controller, and necessary connection cables for easy setup.

2. Safety Information

• This product is designed for indoor use only. It is not water-resistant.
• Ensure the power source is 5 Volts (USB powered) and provides at least 2A current for optimal performance.
• Do not bend the LED strips sharply or apply excessive force, as this may damage the circuit.
• Keep out of reach of children.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your LED strip lights:

1. Test the Light Strip: Before permanent installation, connect all components and plug the USB into a power source to ensure the lights function correctly.
2. Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean and dry the surface where you intend to stick the LED strips. A clean, flat surface ensures optimal adhesion.
3. Connect the Strips: The kit includes 4 pre-cut 1.64ft strips. If you need to separate them, find the designated split position and use the provided 4-pin connectors to join them. Ensure all strips are connected in the same direction, aligning the "+RGB" marks.
4. Peel and Stick: Carefully peel off the backing tape from the LED strips and firmly press them onto the cleaned surface.
5. Secure Cables: Use the included mounting clips or fold the connecting cables to keep the installation neat and secure.
6. Power On: Insert the USB plug into a compatible 5V/2A USB port (e.g., on a TV, PC, power bank, or USB adapter).

4. Operating Instructions

The LED strip lights are controlled using the included 44-key IR remote controller.

Remote Control Functions:

• On/Off Button: Powers the lights on or off.
• Brightness Adjustment: Use the up/down arrow buttons (sun icon) to increase or decrease brightness.
• Static Colors: Select from 20 vibrant static colors directly using the color buttons.
• Dynamic Modes: Choose from 6 dynamic modes (Jump3, Jump7, Fade3, Fade7, Quick, Slow, Auto, Flash) for various lighting effects.
• Speed Adjustment: Use the up/down arrow buttons (lightning bolt icon) to adjust the speed of dynamic modes.
• DIY Buttons (DIY1-DIY6): Customize and save your preferred color combinations. To set a DIY color:
  1. Press a DIY button (e.g., DIY1).
  2. Use the R, G, B up/down arrows to adjust the red, green, and blue components to achieve your desired color.
  3. Press the same DIY button again to save the color.

5. Maintenance

• Keep the LED strips clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
• Avoid exposing the remote control to moisture or extreme temperatures.
• If the remote control stops working, check the battery (CR2032) and replace it if necessary.

6. Troubleshooting

• Lights not turning on:
  • Ensure all connections are secure and the 4-pin connectors are aligned correctly (+RGB marks).
  • Verify the USB power source is providing 5V/2A. Some TV USB ports may not supply enough current.
  • Check if the remote control battery (CR2032) is functional and correctly inserted.
• Remote not changing colors correctly (e.g., only green):
  • Ensure there is no obstruction between the remote controller and the IR receiver on the LED strip.
  • The remote may need to be re-synced or the battery replaced.
• Adhesive not sticking:
  • Ensure the surface was thoroughly cleaned and dry before application.
  • Apply firm pressure along the entire length of the strip during installation.
