1. Introduction

The iDevices Socket is a Wi-Fi enabled light bulb adapter designed to transform any standard light fixture into a smart light. It allows you to control the power and brightness of your light bulbs remotely, create schedules, and utilize voice commands through compatible smart home platforms such as Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant. 2. Safety Information

  • Indoor Use Only: This product is designed for indoor use in dry locations. Do not expose to water or moisture.
  • Power Rating: Do not exceed the maximum load of 60 watts. Overloading may cause damage to the device or create a fire hazard.
  • Bulb Compatibility: Ensure the light bulb used is compatible with the iDevices Socket. For dimming features, use a dimmable bulb.

4. Setup

4.1. Physical Installation

4.2. App Connection and Configuration

  1. Download App: Download the free iDevices Connected app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Power On: Turn on the power to your light fixture. The iDevices Socket's LED ring should illuminate.
  3. Open App: Launch the iDevices Connected app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your new Socket. You will typically be prompted to scan a unique code provided with your device.
  4. Connect to Wi-Fi: The app will guide you through connecting the Socket to your home Wi-Fi network. No hub is required.
  5. Name Device: Assign a name to your iDevices Socket (e.g., "Living Room Lamp") for easy identification and voice control.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Remote Control and Dimming

Once connected to the iDevices Connected app, you can control your light from anywhere with an internet connection. Use the app to turn the light on or off, and adjust its brightness. The dimming feature allows you to set the perfect ambiance for any situation, provided you are using a dimmable light bulb.

5.2. Scheduling

Create custom schedules within the iDevices Connected app to automate your lighting. You can set lights to turn on or off at specific times, or based on your daily routine. This feature can also help save energy by ensuring lights are only on when needed.

5.3. Voice Control

The iDevices Socket is compatible with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant. After linking your iDevices account with these platforms, you can use voice commands to control your lights. For example, say "Hey Siri, turn on the living room lamp" or "Alexa, dim the bedroom light to 50%."

5.4. Customizable LED Light Ring

The iDevices Socket features a customizable LED light ring. Use the iDevices Connected app to change the color of this ring, adding ambient lighting or a night light function to your space. This LED ring can be controlled independently of the main light bulb.

6. Maintenance
