Setup

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: For optimal performance, use fresh alkaline batteries.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Volume Control

• To power on the radio, slide the AM/FM/OFF switch to either AM or FM.
• Adjust the volume by rotating the VOLUME dial located on the side of the unit.
• To power off, slide the AM/FM/OFF switch to OFF.

Tuning to a Station

1. Select your desired band (AM or FM) using the AM/FM/OFF switch.
2. Extend the telescopic antenna for FM reception. For AM reception, rotate the unit horizontally for optimal signal.
3. Slowly rotate the TUNING dial until you hear a clear broadcast. The tuning indicator light will illuminate when a strong signal is received.

Using Headphones

• Plug any standard 3.5mm headphones (not included) into the HEADPHONE JACK located on the side of the radio.
• The built-in speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

Maintenance

• Clean the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Remove batteries if the radio will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

• No Sound: Ensure the radio is powered on and volume is turned up. Check battery installation and replace if necessary.
• Poor Reception: Extend the telescopic antenna fully for FM. For AM, try rotating the radio for better signal. Move away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
• Static: Adjust the tuning dial slightly to fine-tune the station. Try repositioning the antenna or the radio itself.
