Careful installation ensures proper function and longevity of your mosquito screen. Please follow these steps and refer to the video for a visual guide.

  1. Preparation: Unpack all components and verify against the package contents list. Ensure your window opening is clean and clear of obstructions.
  2. Measure and Adjust: Measure the exact width and height of your window opening. If necessary, the aluminum profiles can be cut to size (up to a maximum reduction of 65 cm in width). Use appropriate tools for precise and clean cuts.
  3. Mount the Headrail: Position the top housing (headrail) of the mosquito screen within or on the window frame. Secure it using the provided screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
  4. Install Side Guide Rails: Attach the side guide rails vertically to the window frame, aligning them with the headrail. These rails guide the screen and contain brush seals for optimal insect protection.
  5. Secure Components: Ensure all screws are tightened and components are securely in place. Check that the screen can move freely within the guide rails.
  6. Test Operation: Gently pull the screen down and allow it to retract. Verify smooth operation and that the screen latches correctly at the bottom. Adjust the retraction speed if needed (refer to specific instructions in the included manual for speed adjustment).

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life of your mosquito screen.

  • Cleaning the Mesh: The fiberglass mesh is UV and weather-resistant. For cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe away dust and debris. Spot clean only. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Cleaning the Frame: Wipe the aluminum frame with a damp cloth.
  • Inspecting Components: Periodically check the guide rails, brush seals, and retraction mechanism for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the screen moves smoothly without obstruction.
  • Lubrication: If the screen's movement becomes stiff, a silicone-based lubricant can be applied sparingly to the guide rails (avoiding the mesh) to improve smoothness.
