1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Ensure all parts are securely fastened during assembly to prevent injury to pets or users.
  • Regularly inspect the cage for any damaged or loose parts that could pose a hazard.
  • Place the cage on a stable, level surface to prevent tipping.
  • This cage is designed for large birds such as Macaws, Goffin's Cockatoos, African Greys, Amazon Parrots, Green Cheek Conures, and Caiques. Always ensure the cage size is appropriate for your specific bird species to promote well-being and prevent behavioral issues.
  • Keep children and other pets away from the cage during assembly and when the bird is outside the cage.

3. Assembly Instructions

Assembly is best performed with two people. Lay out all parts and identify them before starting. Note that screws may vary slightly in size; ensure correct screws are used for each step.

  1. Assemble the Base Stand: Attach the four swivel casters to the bottom of the stand frame. Ensure they are securely tightened.
  2. Attach Side Panels: Connect the side panels to the base stand using the provided screws. Ensure the panels are oriented correctly.
  3. Install Front and Back Panels: Securely attach the front and back panels to the side panels and the base. Pay attention to the alignment of pre-drilled holes. If holes do not align perfectly, gently adjust the panels.
  4. Insert Grate and Tray: Slide the removable grate into the designated slots above the pull-out metal tray. Then, slide the metal tray into the bottom of the cage.
  5. Attach Seed Guard: Install the metal seed guard around the bottom perimeter of the cage. Ensure the lip of the seed guard slides into the cage to minimize mess.
  6. Assemble the Dome Top: Connect the dome top sections. Attach the natural wooden stand perch and two stainless steel cups to the playtop area.
  7. Secure the Top Section: Carefully place and secure the assembled dome top onto the main cage structure.
  8. Install Interior Perch and Feeder Doors: Place the natural wooden perch inside the cage. Attach the four solid metal feeder doors to the designated openings on the cage sides.
  9. Insert Feeder Cups: Place the remaining four stainless steel cups into the feeder door openings. Ensure the bevel on the cups faces the door for easy removal and secure placement.
  10. Final Checks: Verify all screws are tightened, and all doors and latches operate smoothly.

4. Operating Instructions

  • Main Front Door: The large front door features a double latch system for security. To open, simultaneously pull back the main latch and lift the backup piece of metal at the top of the door.
  • Feeder Doors: The solid metal feeder doors swivel open to allow access to the stainless steel cups without needing to reach inside the cage. This prevents spillage and provides a secure feeding method.
  • Open Playtop: The dome top can be opened to provide an additional play area for your bird, complete with a wooden perch and two stainless steel cups.
  • Mobility: The cage is equipped with four swivel casters, allowing for easy movement and repositioning.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity of your bird cage and the health of your pet.

  • Daily Cleaning: Remove and clean the pull-out metal tray and grate daily to maintain hygiene. These smooth surfaces are easy to wipe clean of droppings.
  • Seed Guard: The 360-degree surround seed skirt helps minimize mess. Wipe it clean regularly to prevent accumulation of seeds and debris.
  • Cage Bars: Wipe down cage bars periodically with a bird-safe cleaner to remove any residue.
  • Perches and Cups: Clean wooden perches and stainless steel cups regularly. Replace wooden perches if they become too worn or soiled.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Assembly Difficulties (Misaligned Holes/Stripped Screws): During assembly, if holes do not align, gently adjust the panels. If screws appear stripped or difficult to insert, ensure you are using the correct screw size for the specific part. Some screws are slightly larger for the top perch dishes. Do not overtighten screws. If a part is significantly bent, contact customer support.
  • Feeder Cups Falling Out: Ensure the stainless steel cups are inserted correctly with the bevel facing the feeder door. This allows for secure placement and easy removal.
  • Door Latch Issues: If the main door latch is stiff or difficult to operate, ensure no parts are obstructing its movement. The double latch system requires both parts to be manipulated simultaneously.
