Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle and ensure optimal performance.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the mains and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  3. Interior Cleaning/Descaling: Over time, limescale may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas.
    • To descale, use a commercially available descaling agent suitable for kettles, following the manufacturer's instructions.
    • Alternatively, you can use a solution of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Fill the kettle with the solution, bring it to a boil, and let it stand for an hour before rinsing thoroughly several times with fresh water.
  4. Filter Cleaning: The removable limescale filter can be detached for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and gently brush away any deposits. Ensure it is re-inserted correctly before use.
  5. Covered Heating Element: The covered heating element simplifies interior cleaning and prevents direct contact with limescale.
