2. Important Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.

4. Setup and First Use
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present and undamaged. Keep packaging for potential future transport or returns.
4.2 Initial Cleaning
- Wash the glass carafe, its lid, and the removable filter holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a damp cloth.
- Before brewing coffee for the first time, operate the machine with water only (without coffee) at least twice to clean the internal components.
4.3 Placement
Place the coffee machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and direct heat. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Preparing to Brew
- Fill the Water Tank: Remove the water tank lid. Fill the removable water tank with fresh, cold water up to the desired level indicated on the side. The machine has a capacity of 1.25 liters. Replace the water tank lid securely.
- Add Ground Coffee: Open the filter holder. Place a paper filter (size 4) into the filter holder, or ensure the permanent filter is correctly inserted. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. Close the filter holder.
- Place Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe with its lid is correctly placed on the heating plate.

5.2 Starting the Brewing Process
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Press the On/Off switch to start brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.
- The coffee will begin to brew and drip into the carafe.
- Once brewing is complete, the machine will automatically switch to keep-warm mode.
5.3 Special Features
- Aroma+ Function: For a more intense coffee flavor, especially when brewing smaller quantities (1-3 cups), press the Aroma+ button. This slows down the brewing process.
- Automatic Shut-off: The machine features a programmable automatic shut-off function (20, 40, or 60 minutes) for safety and energy saving. Refer to the full manual for programming details.
- Descaling Indicator: An indicator light will alert you when descaling is necessary, based on your programmed water hardness setting.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
6.1 Daily Cleaning
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the filter holder and discard the used coffee grounds and paper filter. Wash the filter holder and carafe in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher (if dishwasher-safe).
- Wipe the exterior of the machine, including the heating plate, with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
6.2 Descaling
Regular descaling is crucial for maintaining optimal performance and extending the lifespan of your coffee machine. The descaling indicator will light up when descaling is required.
- Use a commercially available descaling solution suitable for coffee machines, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution and water mixture.
- Place the empty carafe on the heating plate.
- Start the brewing cycle. Allow the solution to run through the machine.
- After the cycle, discard the solution and rinse the carafe thoroughly.
- Run two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse the machine completely.
