The front panel of the SEQ-1U features the SurgeX brand logo and model number. To the left of the display, a key switch with associated lock icons provides security. Setup

Rack Mounting

The SEQ-1U is designed for standard 19-inch rack mounting. Secure the unit using appropriate rack screws (not included) to ensure stability. Allow adequate ventilation around the unit.

Power Connection

  1. Ensure the main power switch on the SEQ-1U is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the unit's power cord to a dedicated 20 Amp, 120V AC power outlet.
  3. Verify that the power source is stable and within the specified voltage range.

Connecting Equipment

The SEQ-1U features two always-on outlets and three sequenced banks, each with two outlets.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

  1. Insert the key into the key switch on the front panel and turn it to the "ON" position.
  2. Press the blue "POWER" button. The unit will begin its power-up sequence, activating the sequenced banks with the configured delays.
  3. To power off, press the blue "POWER" button again. The unit will initiate the power-down sequence in reverse order.
  4. For complete power disconnection, turn the key switch to the "OFF" position and/or unplug the unit from the wall outlet.

Adjusting Sequence Delay

The SEQ-1U allows adjustment of the delay between sequenced banks (0-40 seconds).

  1. Use the "SEL" button to navigate through menu options on the LCD display.
  2. Use the "ADJ" button to modify the selected value (e.g., sequence delay time).
  3. Consult the on-screen prompts for specific instructions on saving your custom settings in non-volatile memory.
