4.3. Programming with your Hormann Operator/Receiver
The FIT 4 BS is a 4-channel device, meaning each of its four buttons can be programmed to control a different function or operator. The programming process typically involves a learning function on your Hormann garage door operator or radio receiver.
- Consult your operator's manual: Refer to the specific instruction manual for your Hormann garage door operator (e.g., Promatic/Supramatic 4 series) or radio receiver for detailed programming steps. The process usually involves activating a "learn" mode on the operator.
- Initiate learning mode: Follow the instructions for your operator to put it into learning mode. This often involves pressing a button on the operator's control unit.
- Transmit signal from FIT 4 BS: While the operator is in learning mode, press and hold the desired button on your FIT 4 BS for a few seconds until the operator confirms the signal reception (e.g., by flashing a light or making a sound).
- Test operation: Once programmed, test the button to ensure it correctly controls the intended function.
- Repeat for other channels: If you wish to program other buttons for different functions or operators, repeat the process for each button.
Note: The exact programming procedure may vary depending on the model of your Hormann operator or receiver.
5. Operating the Device
Once programmed, operating the Hormann FIT 4 BS is straightforward.
- Single Press: To activate the programmed function (e.g., open/close garage door), simply press the corresponding button on the FIT 4 BS.

The device transmits an impulse signal to the paired receiver/operator.
