Installation (Setup)

Before installation, ensure your low-voltage transformer is unplugged and turned off. Plan the placement of your flood lights to achieve desired illumination.

  1. Prepare the Location: Choose a suitable location in your garden or landscape. Ensure the area is clear of debris and that the ground stake can be firmly inserted into the soil.
  2. Attach Ground Stake: Securely attach the ground stake to the bottom of the flood light fixture.
  3. Position the Fixture: Insert the ground stake into the desired location in the soil. Adjust the angle of the flood light to illuminate the target area (e.g., a tree, shrub, or architectural feature).
  4. Connect to Low-Voltage Cable:
    • Locate the low-voltage main cable in your landscape lighting system.
    • Open the low-voltage connector attached to the flood light's cable.
    • Carefully position the main low-voltage cable within the connector, ensuring the two metal prongs pierce the insulation to make contact with the copper wires inside.
    • Close the connector firmly until it locks, creating a secure and waterproof connection.
  5. Secure Excess Cable: Bury any excess cable or secure it discreetly to prevent tripping hazards and maintain a tidy appearance.

Operation

Once installed and connected to a compatible low-voltage transformer, the flood light will operate according to the transformer's settings. Most low-voltage transformers feature a timer or photocell for automatic dusk-to-dawn operation.
