Operating Instructions
The Chicco Easy Meal offers multiple functions for preparing baby food:
1. Steaming
Steaming preserves nutrients and flavor. The basket's design ensures even steam distribution.
- Prepare ingredients: Wash, peel, and chop fruits, vegetables, or meat into small pieces.
- Place ingredients into the steaming basket (maximum 550 ml capacity).
- Pour the recommended amount of water into the main unit's water reservoir (refer to specific recipes or the water level indicator).
- Place the steaming basket with ingredients into the blender jar, then secure the lid.
- Turn the control knob to the steaming function. The appliance will begin steaming.
- Once steaming is complete, the appliance will automatically switch off or signal completion. Carefully remove the lid and steaming basket.

2. Blending / Homogenizing
After steaming, ingredients can be blended to the desired consistency using the stainless steel blades.
- After steaming, carefully remove the steaming basket from the blender jar.
- Empty the steamed ingredients directly into the blender jar, ensuring the blades are in place.
- Add a small amount of cooking water from the steaming process or breast milk/formula to achieve the desired consistency.
- Secure the lid.
- Turn the control knob to the blending function. Use short pulses for better control over texture.
- Once blended, turn off the appliance and carefully remove the lid.

3. Chopping with Cut Express
The Cut Express grater allows for thin slicing of ingredients directly into the steaming basket.
- Attach the Cut Express grater to the top of the steaming basket.
- Place ingredients (e.g., carrots, zucchini) onto the grater.
- Gently push the ingredients through the grater, allowing them to fall directly into the steaming basket.
- Once chopped, proceed with the steaming process.

4. Switch System for Easy Blending
The Switch System allows you to easily invert the steaming basket over the blades for blending without transferring ingredients manually.
- After steaming, ensure the lid is securely on the steaming basket.
- Using the Switch System handle, lift the steaming basket and invert it directly over the blades in the blender jar.
- The steamed ingredients will fall into the blender jar.
- Proceed with blending as described in the "Blending" section.

5. Warming and Defrosting
The appliance can also be used to warm or defrost pre-prepared baby food.
- Place the food to be warmed or defrosted into a suitable container (e.g., a small jar or bowl) that fits inside the steaming basket.
- Place this container into the steaming basket.
- Add water to the main unit's reservoir.
- Select the warming or defrosting function (refer to the control knob markings).
- Monitor the process and ensure food reaches the desired temperature. Always check food temperature before serving to your baby.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and extends the life of your appliance.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Main Unit: Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water.
- Removable Parts: The blender jar, steaming basket, lid, and blades should be washed by hand with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.
- Dishwasher Safety: This appliance is not dishwasher safe. Hand washing is required for all removable parts.
