1. Introduction and Overview

The Novox Mobivox is a versatile mobile PA system designed for various indoor and outdoor applications such as conferences, demonstrations, training sessions, and fitness clubs. It features 120 watts of power, an integrated wireless microphone system, MP3 player with USB/SD card support, Bluetooth connectivity, and a built-in effects processor. Its robust design with large rubber wheels and a telescopic handle ensures easy portability, while the integrated rechargeable battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous operation.

4. Product Overview: Controls and Connections

Familiarize yourself with the various controls and connection points on your Mobivox system. The rear panel provides access to all inputs, outputs, and adjustment knobs.

4.1. MP3 Player Section

  • USB Port: For connecting USB flash drives.
  • SD Card Slot: For inserting SD memory cards.
  • Display: Shows track information and playback status.
  • Control Buttons: Play/Pause, Stop, Next/Previous Track, Mode (USB/SD/Bluetooth).

4.2. Input Channels

  • AUX IN: 3.5mm stereo input for external audio devices.
  • MIC 1 IN, MIC 2 IN, MIC 3 IN: XLR/TRS combo jacks for wired microphones or line-level instruments.
  • LEVEL Controls: Individual volume knobs for AUX, MIC 1, MIC 2, and MIC 3.

4.3. Output and Master Controls

  • REVERB: Knob to adjust the amount of reverb effect applied to microphone inputs.
  • MASTER VOL: Overall volume control for the system.
  • EQUALIZER (LOW/HIGH): Tone controls for adjusting bass and treble frequencies.
  • PWR/LIMIT Indicator: Lights up to show power status and signal clipping.
  • LINE OUT: XLR output for connecting to another PA system or recording device.

4.4. Power and Battery

  • POWER Switch: Turns the unit on or off.
  • AC IN: Power input for the included power cable.
  • VOLTAGE SELECTOR: Switch to select between 110V and 230V power input (ensure correct setting for your region).
  • CHARGE Indicator: Lights up when the battery is charging.

5. Setup

5.1. Initial Charging

  1. Before first use, ensure the unit is fully charged.
  2. Connect the supplied power cable to the AC IN port on the rear panel and then to a suitable power outlet.
  3. The CHARGE indicator will illuminate. Allow several hours for a full charge. The indicator may change color or turn off when fully charged (refer to specific model behavior).

5.2. Positioning the Unit

  • Place the Mobivox on a stable, flat surface.
  • For optimal sound projection, position it in a central location.
  • Ensure adequate space around the unit for ventilation.

5.3. Wireless Microphone Setup

  1. Unscrew the bottom part of the wireless handheld microphone and insert two fresh AA batteries, observing polarity.
  2. Extend the antenna on the rear panel of the Mobivox system for optimal wireless reception.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On/Off

To power on the unit, flip the POWER switch located on the rear panel to the 'ON' position. To power off, flip the switch to 'OFF'.

6.2. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Turn on the Mobivox system.
  2. Press the 'MODE' button on the MP3 player section until 'Bluetooth' mode is selected. The display will show 'BT' and a pairing indicator may flash.
  3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), go to its Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
  4. Select 'Mobivox' from the list.
  5. Once connected, the system will typically emit a confirmation sound, and the Bluetooth indicator on the display will become solid.

6.3. USB/SD Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
  2. Press the 'MODE' button to select 'USB' or 'SD' mode. The system will automatically begin playing compatible audio files.
  3. Use the Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track buttons on the unit or the remote control to manage playback.

6.4. Microphone Usage

  1. Turn on the wireless handheld microphone using its power switch.
  2. Adjust the corresponding MIC LEVEL knob (MIC 1, MIC 2, or MIC 3) on the Mobivox rear panel to your desired volume.
  3. Use the REVERB knob to add an echo effect to the microphone signal if desired.
  4. For wired microphones, connect them to the XLR/TRS combo jacks and adjust their respective LEVEL knobs.

6.5. AUX Input

Connect an external audio source (e.g., a laptop, CD player) to the AUX IN port using a 3.5mm audio cable. Adjust the AUX LEVEL knob to control its volume.

6.6. Equalizer Adjustment

Use the LOW and HIGH equalizer knobs to fine-tune the bass and treble frequencies of the overall sound output to suit your preference or environment.

6.7. Line Out

The LINE OUT (XLR) port allows you to send the mixed audio signal from the Mobivox to another PA system, a mixer, or a recording device. This output is post-master volume and EQ.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.

7.2. Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid completely discharging the battery frequently.
  • Recharge the unit regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health.
  • If storing the unit for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% before storage and recharge every few months.

7.3. Storage

Store the Mobivox in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
