Safety Instructions

  • Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Ensure the pump is placed in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from direct sunlight, rain, and splashes.
  • Do not immerse the pump in water. It is rated IPX4, meaning it is protected against splashing water, but not submersion.
  • Keep the power cord away from sharp objects and hot surfaces.
  • Membranes are wear parts and require annual replacement to maintain optimal performance.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Setup

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging: the V-30 air pump, 25m air hose, 4-compartment air distributor, and 6 air stones.
  2. Position the Pump: Place the air pump on a stable, dry surface near your pond or aquarium. Ensure it is above the water level to prevent back-siphoning.
  3. Connect Air Hose to Pump: Attach one end of the 4x6mm air hose to the pump's air outlet (14mm). Secure it firmly.
  4. Connect Air Hose to Distributor: Cut the air hose to the desired length. Connect the other end of the main air hose to the inlet of the 4-compartment air distributor.
  5. Connect Air Stones: Cut smaller lengths of air hose to connect each of the six air stones to the outlets of the air distributor.
  6. Place Air Stones: Carefully place the air stones into your pond or aquarium at the desired depth.
  7. Power Connection: Once all connections are secure and the pump is safely positioned, plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (220-240V).

Operating Instructions

The AquaForte Hi-Flow V-30 air pump is designed for continuous operation. Once plugged in, the pump will start automatically. There is no on/off switch on the pump itself.

  • Starting the Pump: Plug the pump into a grounded electrical outlet. Air will immediately begin to flow through the hoses and air stones.
  • Adjusting Air Flow: The kit includes a 4-compartment distributor, allowing you to adjust the air flow to individual air stones. For more precise control over the pump's overall output, an optional FC-300 flow controller can be purchased separately and connected to the pump.
  • Stopping the Pump: To turn off the pump, simply unplug it from the electrical outlet.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your AquaForte Hi-Flow V-30 air pump.

  • Cleaning the Air Filter: Periodically check and clean the air filter to prevent dust and debris from entering the pump. Disconnect power, open the filter compartment, remove the filter, clean it with water, and ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
  • Membrane Replacement: The membranes inside the pump are wear parts and should be replaced annually. Failure to do so may result in reduced performance or pump failure. Replacement kits are available from AquaForte.
  • Hose and Air Stone Inspection: Regularly inspect the air hoses for kinks, cracks, or blockages. Clean air stones if they become clogged with algae or debris, as this can reduce air flow.
  • Casing Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the pump with a damp cloth to keep it clean. Do not use harsh chemicals.
