Setup

  1. Prepare the Impact Wrench: Ensure your impact wrench is capable of delivering at least 130 pounds of torque.
  2. Attach the PressFAST Tool: Securely attach the Apollo 69PFT PressFAST tool to the chuck of your impact wrench. Ensure it is firmly seated and locked in place to prevent dislodgement during operation.
  3. Select the Correct Jaws: Choose the appropriate press or PEX jaws (1/2-inch, 3/4-inch, or 1-inch) that match the size and type of fitting you intend to press.
  4. Install the Jaws: Carefully insert the selected jaws into the PressFAST tool. Ensure they are correctly aligned and seated within the tool's mechanism.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fitting: Ensure the PEX or copper fitting and pipe are clean and properly prepared according to the fitting manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Position the Tool: Place the open jaws of the PressFAST tool around the fitting. Ensure the fitting is centered within the jaws.
  3. Initiate Pressing: Activate your impact wrench. The tool will begin to press the fitting.
  4. Monitor the Blue LED Sensor: Observe the blue LED sensor on the tool. This sensor indicates when a properly sealed connection has been achieved. Continue pressing until the LED illuminates steadily, confirming the seal.
  5. Release the Tool: Once the connection is sealed and the LED is steady, release the impact wrench trigger and remove the tool from the fitting.
  6. Inspect the Connection: Visually inspect the pressed connection to ensure it is uniform and secure.

Note: The blue LED sensor is a critical indicator for a properly sealed connection. Do not rely solely on visual inspection without confirmation from the LED.
