The Winco PGS-1K is a portable gas cooker designed for efficient outdoor cooking. It features a single brass burner and comes with a durable carrying case for easy transport.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack: Remove the cooker and its components from the carrying case.
  2. Placement: Place the cooker on a stable, level, non-combustible surface in a well-ventilated outdoor area. Ensure adequate clearance from combustible materials.
  3. Open Fuel Compartment: Open the fuel compartment cover located on the side of the cooker.
  4. Insert Butane Canister: Align the collar of a standard 8 oz Butane DOT-2P canister with the guide in the fuel compartment. Push the canister in firmly until it clicks into place.
  5. Lock Canister: Engage the safety locking device (lever) to secure the butane canister. Ensure it is fully locked to prevent gas leaks.
  6. Close Fuel Compartment: Close the fuel compartment cover.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Cookware: Place your pot or pan securely on the pot support.
  2. Ignition: Turn the control knob counter-clockwise to the 'IGNITE' position. You should hear a click and see the burner ignite. If it does not ignite after a few attempts, turn the knob to 'OFF', wait a few seconds, and try again.
  3. Adjust Flame: Once ignited, continue turning the control knob counter-clockwise to increase the flame intensity, or clockwise to decrease it. The cooker offers a manually adjustable heat range up to 9,500 BTUs.
  4. Cooking: Cook food as desired, monitoring the flame and adjusting as necessary.
  5. Shut Down: When finished cooking, turn the control knob fully clockwise to the 'OFF' position. Ensure the flame is completely extinguished.
  6. Cool Down: Allow the cooker to cool completely before handling or storing. This may take 15-30 minutes.
  7. Remove Butane Canister: Once cool, open the fuel compartment, disengage the safety locking device, and carefully remove the butane canister. Store the canister in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
