Safety Information

Setup and Installation

  1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure the installation surface is smooth, clean, and dry. The 3M adhesive backing performs best on surfaces like glass or smooth ceramic. Avoid rough wood or lime walls.
  2. Unroll the LED Strip: Completely unroll the LED strip from its reel before connecting power to prevent heat buildup.
  3. Connect Components:
    • Connect the LED strip to the controller box. Ensure the arrows on the connectors align.
    • Connect the power supply to the controller box.
    • Plug the power supply into a standard electrical outlet.

  4. Mount the LED Strip: Peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive backing and carefully press the LED strip onto the desired surface. Apply firm, even pressure along the entire length.
  5. Position the IR Receiver: The controller box has an IR receiver for the remote. Position it where it has a clear line of sight to where you will be using the remote control.

Operating Instructions

Using the 44-Key IR Remote Control

The included 44-key IR remote allows you to control the LED strip's colors, brightness, and lighting modes.

  • Power On/Off: Press the red button at the top right to turn the lights on or off.
  • Brightness Adjustment: Use the up and down arrow buttons (labeled with sun icons) to increase or decrease brightness.
  • Color Selection: Press any of the 20 color buttons to select a static color.
  • DIY Colors: Use the "DIY" buttons to create and save custom colors.
    1. Press a "DIY" button (e.g., DIY1).
    2. Use the R/G/B up/down arrows to adjust the red, green, and blue components until you achieve the desired color.
    3. Press the same "DIY" button again to save the color.
  • Mode Selection: Choose from 8 dynamic modes: Quick, Slow, Auto, Flash, Fade7, Fade3, Jump7, Jump3.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Ensure the power is disconnected before cleaning. Gently wipe the LED strip with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Adhesive Longevity: If the adhesive begins to lose its stickiness, you may reinforce it with additional double-sided tape or mounting clips (not included).
  • Storage: If storing the LED strip, ensure it is clean and dry. Roll it loosely to avoid damaging the circuit.

Troubleshooting

Perform the following synchronization steps:

  1. Ensure all parts of the LED strip kit are connected correctly and powered.
  2. Turn off the LED strip using the remote (press the right top red button).
  3. Press the "FADE7" button on the remote; the lights should flash quickly.
  4. Turn on the LED strip again.
  5. Press the Red, Green, and Blue buttons one by one. The colors should now correspond correctly.
  6. If not, repeat steps 1-5 until synchronization is achieved.
LED strip is too dim or flickers.
  • Insufficient power.
  • Loose connection.
  • Damaged section of the strip.
  • Ensure the power supply is adequate and properly connected.
  • Check all connections for looseness.
  • If a section is damaged, it may need replacement.
