2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup and Assembly

4.1 Assembly

1. Connect Shaft Sections: The 150 cm shaft is divided for transport. Securely connect the two shaft sections according to the instructions provided in the packaging.
2. Attach Handlebar: Mount the adjustable bicycle-style handlebar to the shaft at a comfortable working height. Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely.

4.2 Fueling

The Scheppach BCH3200PB4/1PS features a 4-stroke engine, which operates on pure gasoline. Do NOT mix oil with the gasoline.

• Ensure the engine is off and cool before refueling.
• Clean the area around the fuel cap to prevent dirt from entering the tank.
• Carefully open the fuel cap and fill the 0.7-liter tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline.
• Do not overfill. Leave a small air gap to allow for fuel expansion.
• Securely close the fuel cap. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Engine

1. Place the brush cutter on a flat, stable surface.
2. Engage the choke (if applicable, refer to engine specific instructions).
3. Set the throttle to the starting position.
4. Pull the starter cord firmly until the engine starts. The 4-stroke engine design helps minimize cold start problems.
5. Once started, gradually disengage the choke and allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before beginning work.

• Grass Trimming: For cutting grass and light weeds, use the trimmer head. Move the tool in a sweeping motion, keeping the cutting head parallel to the ground. The maximum cutting width is 430 mm.
• Brush Cutting: For thicker brush, dense weeds, or small saplings, use the 3-blade brush cutter attachment. Work in controlled, deliberate strokes. The maximum cutting width is 255 mm.
• Ergonomics: The anti-vibration technology and adjustable bicycle-style handle, combined with the shoulder harness, provide comfortable and ergonomic operation, reducing user fatigue. The shaft design offers an extended reach, useful for areas under bushes and fences.
• Stopping the Engine: To stop the engine, move the engine stop switch to the 'OFF' position.
