4. Setup and Installation

The WD-FF-01A filter is designed for easy installation into compatible Waterdrop Faucet Filtration Systems. Refer to your specific faucet system's manual for detailed installation steps. Generally, filter replacement involves twisting out the old filter and twisting in the new one.

  • Ensure the faucet system is turned off and depressurized before attempting to replace the filter.
  • Twist the old filter counter-clockwise to remove it.
  • Insert the new WD-FF-01A filter into the system and twist clockwise until secure. No pre-soaking is required.
  • Run water through the filter for 5 minutes to flush out any carbon fines before first use.

To obtain filtered water, simply activate the filtered water setting on your compatible Waterdrop faucet system. For unfiltered water, switch to the unfiltered setting.

6. Maintenance

Regular filter replacement is crucial for optimal performance and water quality.

Filter Replacement Schedule

Each WD-FF-01A filter is designed to last for approximately 3 months or filter up to 320 gallons of water, whichever comes first. This extended life helps reduce the frequency of replacements.

Understanding TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)

TDS refers to the total concentration of dissolved substances in water. While often associated with water quality, a low TDS value does not always directly indicate superior water quality, as beneficial minerals also contribute to TDS. Waterdrop filters are designed to reduce harmful contaminants while retaining beneficial minerals.
