5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
The keyboard is designed for approximately 6 months of use with two AAA batteries, thanks to its power-saving sleep mode.
5.2 Wired USB Connection
- Locate the mini-USB port on the back of the keyboard.
- Connect the provided USB cable to the keyboard's mini-USB port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your operating system. No additional drivers are typically required.

5.3 Wireless Bluetooth Connection
The keyboard can be paired with up to four Bluetooth-enabled devices (PC, tablet, smartphone).
5.3.1 Pairing with a New Device
- Ensure the keyboard is in wireless mode (refer to Section 6.1).
- On the keyboard, press and hold the Fn key and one of the Bluetooth device keys (1, 2, 3, or 4) for approximately 3 seconds until the corresponding LED indicator flashes rapidly. This puts the keyboard into pairing mode.
- On your device (PC, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "FILCO Convertible2" from the list of available devices.
- If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your device using the keyboard and press Enter.
- Once paired, the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain lit for a few seconds, then turn off. The keyboard is now connected.
5.3.2 Switching Between Paired Devices
To switch between previously paired Bluetooth devices:
- Press the Fn key simultaneously with the desired Bluetooth device key (1, 2, 3, or 4). The keyboard will attempt to connect to the selected device.

6.1 Switching Connection Modes (Wired/Wireless)
